The Cycle – 5/7

The Staff

Smith – another cold and nasty night for hitters in Chicago tonight. Smith has been extremely tough on hitters, striking out 8 in each of his last 3 games. Smith also has allowed no more than 5 hits in a game all year.

(Risk factor 5)

Nola– There’s some strikeouts in this St. Louis lineup. Goldy has not been good lately, and looks off balance at the plate. Nola still hasn’t gone deep in a game yet, but that’s coming soon. He’s also limited damage in his last 2 starts allowing just 1 run in each.

(Risk factor 5)

Canning – The kid has some plus strikeout stuff, generating 18 swing and misses in his last start. He only went 82 pitches, and should be up to around 90 tonight. He’s still relatively cheap on FanDuel, and gets a bottom half of the order Detroit lineup that’s not very good.

(Risk factor 5)

The Bats

Houston – just riding this team until they get shut out. You can pretty much guarantee 2 homers a game from this lineup.

(Righties)

Minnesota – They tagged Sanchez for a few homers last time they saw him, from Rosario and Polanco. This is one of the hottest teams in the league and should continue hammering the ball tonight.

(2-3-4)

Cincy – Another hot team, facing a fastball dependent pitcher in Fiers. He’s allowed 29 runs in his last 5 starts.

(1-7)

Boston -JD and Mookie again in their playground.
