Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s  Fantasy Football Injury Report for Week 8. We will continually update this list.

Week 8 Byes: NONE

Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – A hairline fracture in his shoulder sidelined Samuel for Week 7 and will keep him out for Week 8. The 49ers have a Week 9 bye, so Week 10 seems like a realistic timeline for Samuel to return. Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud will play bigger roles while Samuel is out. However, neither is fantasy-relevant.

Bijan Robinson (RB) Atlanta Falcons – There are no indication that rookie RB Bijan Robinson is injured. However, his absence in Week 7 had severe consequences. He came up ill before Atlanta’s Week 7 win in Tampa and played a mere 11 snaps. Not only were fantasy managers surprised by Robinson’s lack of role, but the Falcons could face consequences for their handling of the situation.

DK Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks – Metcalf missed his first NFL game with a rib injury. Most thought Metcalf would be active. However, Pete Carroll decided to be cautious. Metcalf should be back in Week 8. Note: Metcalf faces the most difficult matchup in the league this week vs WRs in Cleveland who only allow 23.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers

Kyren Williams (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Last week the Rams sent Williams (knee) to IR. He will miss four games plus LA’s Week 10 bye. That puts Williams in line for a Week 12 return to action.

Zach Ertz (TE) Arizona Cardinals – Ertz was sent to the IR with a quad injury. He will miss at least four games. That will open up more opportunities for Trey McBride, who has shown improvement in the last two games. Fantasy managers can drop Ertz.

Roschon Johnson (RB) Chicago Bears – Johnson is in the final stages of the NFL’s concussion protocol. He should return this week. However, after D’Onta Foreman’s breakout, it is fair to question how much playing time Johnson will garner after missing two games.

Jerome Ford (RB) Cleveland Browns – A high-ankle sprain will cause Ford to miss 1-2 games. Kareem Hunt will see more touches. Also, Pierre Strong will mix int.

Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Matt Eberflus has already said that Fields is doubtful for Week 8. Expect Tyson Bagent to get at least one more start. Chicago has a favorable schedule for the next month, so whoever is under center should be on fantasy radars.

Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – The Raiders were embarrassed in Chicago. Brian Hoyer’s abysmal play was a catalyst for Vegas’s struggles. By all indications, Jimmy Garooppolo will be back under center in Detroit and has plenty of motivation to return to the lineup.

Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Bestball drafters rejoice! The Cardinals opened Murray’s 21-day window to return. Murray should practice this week. If all goes well, he could be back under center in the next 1-2 weeks. Also, Murray is a priority waiver wire target where available.

Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers – Watson tweaked his knee and is considered questionable. We’ll have to keep an eye on Watson’s practice participation all week and keep the FullTime Fantasy Discord updated.

Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans – Absent since Week 4 with a knee injury, Burks practiced during Tennesee’s Week 7 bye and is set to return. This will be a much-needed boost for a Titans’ passing attack which ranks 29th in the league.

Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – Jones missed his second straight game. However, local media indicated that Jones was close to suiting up last week against Washington. Tyrod Taylor has filled in admirably, so the Giants do not have to rush Jones back into the lineup.

Deshaun Watson (QB) Cleveland Browns – Watson’s return was brief, exiting Week 7 in the first quarter. The quarterback hit his head on the turf but cleared concussion protocol. However, Kevin Stefanski chose to keep P.J. Walker in the lineup. Subsequently, Watson is a volatile fantasy option.

Ryan Tannehill (QB) Tennessee Titans – Tannehill is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and is considered questionable to play against the Falcons. He did not practice Tuesday. Coming off a bye, that’s a good indication that Tannehlll will miss at least one more start. Malik Willis will fill in if Tannehill is unable to go.

Greg Dulcich (TE) Denver Broncos – After playing 11 snaps in Week 6, Dulcich hurt his hamstring. Subsequently, the Broncos placed Dulchich on IR for the second time this season. The earliest he can return is Week 10.

Juwan Johnson (TE) New Orleans Saints – After missing four games with a calf injury, Johnson is set to return for the Saints’ Week 8 trip to Indianapolis.

Gerald Everett (TE) Los Angeles Chargers – Everett hurt his quad in the third quarter and did not return. We will know more about the severity when the Chargers practice. For now, consider Everett questionable.

Keaton Mitchell (RB) Baltimore Ravens – A minor hamstring injury will keep Mitchell out 1-2 games. This keeps Gus Edwards and Justice Hill on the weekly RB3 radar.
