PITCHERS

Justin Verlander

Verlander is the highest priced arm on both sites and for good reasons as he has been on point in just about every start. He pitches at home tonight where he has pitched a well with a 1.71 ERA, close to a 30% (38% vs LHHs, White Sox should have 3-4 LHHs in lineup.)  K rate and under 1 HR/9. Facing a White Sox team that strike out at a 26% clip vs RHP. Looking at 7 innings 9Ks and 2 ERs.

Caleb Smith

Smith has been pitching at an elite level this year with a 2.25 ERA , 64 Ks over 48innings and 6 QSs. Facing a Tigers team that has not failed well so far this year and strikes out at a 25% clip vs LHP. Looking at 6 innings 8ks and 1ER.

Eduardo Rodriguez

ERod has pitched 6 or more innings in 5 of his last 7 starts while striking out 55 batters in 50 innings this year. He has been very good vs RHHs it is the lefties that have given him trouble. Most of the Jays lineup will be batting from the right side of the plate and they struggles vs LHP (.229 average only 6 HRs and 25% K rate). Looking at 6 innings 8 Ks and 2 ERs.

VALUE ARM

Spencer Turnbull

I like both pitchers in this game as both offenses are on the weaker side. The Marlins have not hit RHP well this year at all with a .214 average and 27% K rate. Turnbull has pitched well this year posting a 2.4 ERA going at least 5 innings in just about every game and striking out a better per 9. He should have no problem mowing through this Marlins lineup and looking at 6 innings 7 Ks and 1 ER.

TEAM/S

(Yankees should pick up high ownership tonight even on a 14 game slate. Other than a few one offs I am good going elsewhere tonight. Torres & Sanchez are in the best spots. Morales is a cheap option).

Astros

One of the top teams vs RHP this year on the slate (.276 average, 66 HRs and only a 17% K rate). The face off against Dylan Covey at home tonight.  Springer & Diaz are both listed as DTD.

Springer has been smoking the ball as of late as well as Redick and Marisnick. Tyler White hit his first HR and HC is on the rise.

3 options

(1)Springer(If he plays), Bregman, Correa & Brantley

(2) Diaz, White, Redick, Marisnick

(3)White, Redick, Marisnick, Springer, Bregman.

Mariners/Rangers- Game stack- Nice weather and Excellent Park.

Tommy Milone is not a good pitcher and he faces a power upside Ranger team tonight. Yes most of the Ranger power bats hit from the left side but most hit well vs LHP. Mazara, Odor, Gallo all have LvL power upside. Cabrera, Forsythe, Pence are in play as well as they hit well vs LHP. Lefties will be sneaky Mazara my favorite, Odor has been crushing the ball as of late and Gallo can hit a HR off just about anyone.

Mariners- Face Lance Lynn. Lynn struggles vs LHHs-  Vogelbach is crushing the ball as of late. Bruce has power upside as well. Haniger, EE & Santana all hit RHP well also.

BATS

Eugene Suarez

Suarez destroys LHP .431 wOBA, .351 ISO and 52% HC. Always in play vs a mediocre LHP.

Xander Bogaerts

X is hitting the ball well right now batting .435 over the past 14 days. Stroman likes to throw sinkers and X and a few other Red Sox bats hits that pitch well. X with JD(out of lineup- move to Betts),Moreland and Chavis make a nice stack.

Hunter Renfroe

A few reasons why I like Renfroe tonight- he has been crushing the ball vs RHP this year (.340 ISO, 51% HC) and has been hitting the ball well as of late 46% HC and increase in distance of + 20 ft. Grienke has allowed a 42% HC rate and close to 2 HR/9 to RHHs this year and has been much worse on the road. Add in the fact that Renfroe has hit Grienke well .333 average and 3 HRs over 18 at bats. He should come in at under 5% ownership and like his chances to go yard tonight. Reyes and Machado are both hitting the ball well also.
