Ahhhh its nice to be back after a week long hiatus with traveling and the FanDuel WFBC final. Man, what an experience it was and I hope each and every one of you get the chance to see what it’s like. Tonight’s slate is massive with 2 pitchers I’m in absolute love with and the rest I’m ok with rostering. Let’s dig into this

PITCHING

Snell – I love Blake Snell and I love him even more at home. He’s is DOMINANT at home with a 0.97 ERA and just a .180 average. I love this spot, and we saw what Yarbrough did to this team last night. I’d expect Snell to go about 90 pitches tonight, which should be enough for a win and 7-8 k’s. (Risk factor 4 only because of pitch count)

Berrios – He destroys Chicago. In 3 of his last 4 starts he’s struck out at least 10 while also going at least 7 innings. Another positive for Berrios is Chicago is sitting Abreu and also lost one of their better contact hitters Leury Garcia to a hamstring last night. (Risk factor 4)

Gausman – I was on Gausman last night til they pushed his start back til today. He’s been better on the road in terms of ground ball rate 51.7% and hard contact 29.9%. He’s also been pitching well in August allowing just 1 home run in 19 innings. He’s hasn’t been striking out many batters, but he should be able to limit damage. (Risk factor 5)

Anderson – he’s better at home with a 3.47 ERA and 23.2% k rate. He’s gone 6 innings or more in his last 6 starts at home , allowing just 3 home runs and a 25% k rate in 5 of those 6 games. (Risk factor 4)

Matz – This is more so picking on the Giants than it is liking Matz. San Fran is extremely bad right now who ZERO plate discipline and completely lost at the plate. Matz is striking out batters around 22% at home, but has given up his share of homers to righties. I don’t usually like to roster Matz, but this with San Fran being this bad he should fair well today. (Risk factor 5)

STACKS

OAKLANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD – Just stack away here. In another great spot, and while Olson let us down last night he’ll make up for it tonight with a 3 run homer.

Toronto lefties – Bundy has been so bad, and struggled mightily against lefties. Anyone see my tweet about Morales at home against a lefty??? Yea play him…….

Arizona – They obliterated Padres pitching this weekend and return home against an overrated pitcher. Yes I know the splits benefit Pena, but even with the humidor on full blast they tee off on him.

Milwaukee lefties and Jesus- back to the well tonight. Moose and Aguilar will homer tonight.

Philly – Roark is a bum, and how the hell is Herrera only $2,200?!?!?!?

St. Louis – Ryu has been reverse splits for most of his career allowing a .321 average to lefties last year. You can play Carp and Wong no problem, while using either Bader – Jedd – Martinez or Ozzy
