J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens –  That’s right! It’s time for Dobbins to break out in a big way. Injuries have limited Dobbins to just 23 games in three NFL seasons. Also, he missed all of 2021 with a torn ACL and struggled to be effective until late last year.

However, once the club took the training wheels off, we saw glimpses of just how explosive Dobbins can be. Starting in Week 14, Dobbins averaged 101 scrimmage yards per game in Baltimore’s final five contests.

Now fully healthy and the unquestioned RB1, Dobbins can be a good runner behind a great Ravens’ offensive line and put up quality RB2. He could even contend for RB1 numbers for fantasy managers.

New OC Todd Monken will have this Baltimore offense passing the ball more than ex-OC Greg Roman ever did. However,  it’s hard to tell how much that’ll affect Dobbins’ pass-catching upside.

The Ravens continued to show their support for Dobbins in this year’s NFL Draft. The team did not add any competing in April, nor did they sign any significant challengers to Dobbins’ role via free agency.

Baltimore should run a ton of plays and contend for…

Javonte Williams (RB) Denver Broncos- When searching for the player with the highest ceiling, I want a running back who will lead the team in scoring, have early-down rushing value, and be active in the passing game. The player with the highest upside in the RB2 tier is Williams. 

In his rookie season, in a split role with Melvin Gordon, Williams gained 1,219 combined yards with seven touchdowns and 43 catches on 246 touches. He finished 17th in running back scoring (206.30) in PPR formats, while Gordon ranked 18th in fantasy points (198.70). 

Williams has started to move up in drafts, especially in the high-stakes market (RB19). He runs with power, and his pass-catching in his rookie season highlights his potential floor in Payton’s offense. Denver should give Williams the bulk of chances at the goal line. George Pickens (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – George Pickens has a chance to be a SUPERSTAR in this league if he is given the volume to succeed.  He makes catches and plays that other players physically cannot make and he does it routinely.

Pickens has a Randy Moss-esque star power about him and the tools to play like him, it just comes down to Kenny Pickett feeding him the ball. A quick search on social media will show some of the eye-opening plays that the sophomore wideout has already made in training camp.

Also, Having Diontae Johnson on the other side with TE Pat Freiermuth in the middle means defenses cannot have a singular focus to stop Pickens and anytime he has 1-1 coverage, the ball MUST go his way.  And if it does, you are seeing a potential top-10 fantasy wide receiver. ..

The 2022 NFL season is rapidly approaching and that means it is fantasy football draft season. The 2022 FullTime Fantasy Staff Predictions give you all the insight you’ll need to dominate your league’s draft.

Our 2022 Breakout Player

Michael Pittman (WR) Indianapolis Colts 

Fresh off the heels of a solid WR18 campaign last season, Michael Pittman checks all the boxes of an ascending player. First, he’s already an elite talent with the size (6-4, 223) to dominate in all facets of the game. Secondly, he fits the third-year wide receiver breakout narrative, although the 88/1,082/6 showing in 2021 indicates he has already arrived. Finally, the upgrade from Carson Wentz to Matt Ryan can not be understated. Ryan has a history of peppering his No. 1 wideouts with targets. If the past is any indicator, Pittman is about to contend for top-5 fantasy numbers in 2022.

Looking at our 2022 Fantasy Football Rankings, we’re all-in on Pittman in 2022. And that’s why he’s our easy pick for 2022 Breakout Player of the Year.
