Week 12 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

Calvin Ridley (7/121/2) climbed off the mat to post the top wide receiver game in Week 12. He jumped to 26th in wide receiver scoring (126.60 fantasy points) in PPR formats while starting the week ranked 41st. Tyreek Hill (30.60) was the only other wideout to score more than 30.00 fantasy points. Nathaniel Dell (28.90), Keenan Allen (27.60), and Brandon Aiyuk (26.60) rounded out the Super High-Five. Five other wide receivers scored between 20.00 and 23.00 fantasy points. Here are the top five wide receivers ranked by scoring average after 11 weeks:

Six of the seven wideouts were all selected in the first round (Keenan Allen has an ADP of 28) in most leagues in the high-stakes market. Due to an injury, Justin Jefferson (1st overall) was the only wide receiver bust. Christian McCaffrey played up to expectations, while Austin Ekeler (missed three games), Garrett Wilson (Aaron Rodgers injury), Bijan Robinson (Falcons haven’t committed to him), and Saquon Barkley (missed three games) underachieved expectations.

Top Tier Options

Stefon Diggs, BUF (DK – $8,800/FD – $8,700)

The Bills struggled to get Stefon Diggs the ball in back-to-back games (3/34 and 4/27 on 13 combined targets). He hasn’t gained more than 100 receiving yards since Week 6. Over this span, Diggs gained only 9.8 yards per catch. When at his best over the first six games, he averaged 8.2 catches for 103 yards and 0.83 touchdowns or 23.49 fantasy points in PPR formats. His best showing (6/120/3) came in Week 4 vs. the Dolphins. Diggs played well in all four road starts (10/192/1, 8/111, 6/58/1, and 6/86/1).

Philadelphia has the worst wide receiver defense (166/1,922/15 on 266 targets) in the league, with significant issues in five matchups (MIN – 17/265/2, WAS – 22/230/1, MIA – 20/206/1, WAS – 24/288/3, and DAL – 18/271/2). Despite their struggles, only four wideouts gained over 100 yards (Justin Jefferson – 11/159, Cooper Kupp – 8/118, Jahan Dotson – 8/108/1, and CeeDee Lamb – 11/191). CB Darius Slay sees minimal coverage out of the slot, pointing to Buffalo trying to get Diggs matched up with CB James Bradberry (31/374/6 on 56 targets – per PFF) on more plays. CB Bradley Roby (5/58/1 on 11 targets) and Josh Jobe (15/206/3 on 28 targets) handle the wide receiver assignments on the inside.

With CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, Amon-Ra St, Brown, and Keenan Allen off the main slate on Sunday, Diggs is one of three higher-end wideouts with a chance at an impact game. I expect double-digit targets with an excellent chance of scoring, setting up a 30+ fantasy point game. My first team build in the Millionaire Maker at DraftKings will have Diggs as one of my foundation pieces.

Week 11 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

The wide receiver story from last week had two chapters. The first was the high-scoring battle between the Lions and Chargers, leading to Keenan Allen (11/175/2) posting his second monster showing of the year while Amon-Ra St. Brown (8/165/1) finished fourth in fantasy points (30.50). The second verse came via the right arm of Dak Prescott. CeeDee Lamb (11/165/2) fell ten yards behind Allen, giving him the runner-up prize for the week. The rise of the Cowboys’ passing attack led to Brandin Cook (9/173/1) finishing third for the week. Six other wideouts scored between 21.00 and 26.50 fantasy points in PPR formats. Here are the top five wide receivers by scoring average after 10 weeks:

Elite Options

Tyreek Hill, MIA (DK – $9,300/FD – $9,800)

The Dolphins’ passing offense sputtered in two challenging road games vs. Philadelphia (216/1) and Kansas City (193/1) in Week 7 and Week 9. But Hill still had a floor of eight catches while working closer to the line of scrimmage (11/88/1 and 8/62 – one 20-yard catch ~ 7.9 yards per reception). From Week 5 to Week 8 (8/181/1, 6/163/1, 11/88/1, and 8/112/1), he scored in each game, leading to 30.10 FPPG in DraftKings scoring. His top three scores in fantasy points (44.50, 30.70, and 32.10) came in odds weeks of the NFL schedule. Hill has double-digit targets in four consecutive starts (10, 15, 13, and 10).

Las Vegas continues to play better than expected defending wide receivers (6th – 109/1,318/7 on 173 targets). No team gained more than 175 yards from their wideouts. Their defense allowed 22 touchdowns (11 passing) over 105 possessions, with quarterbacks gaining 6.6 yards per pass attempt. Their success has been helped by a favorable pass schedule (Kenny Pickett, Jordan Love, Mac Jones, Tyson Bagent, Tommy DeVito, and Zack Wilson). Amon-Ra St. Brown (6/108) is the only wide receiver to gain more than 100 yards.

The Raiders will have their hands full defending the run vs. Miami, inviting some winning big plays off play-action passes for Hill. Their top three cornerbacks for Las Vegas allowed a high catch rate. But they’ve minimized the damage in big plays. Hill’s quickness and ability to get open should shine through in this matchup. I expect a minimum of one long score, most likely against Marcus Peters (29/287/3 on 32 targets – per PFF) due to his gambling mentality. On the downside, Hill must score 37.00 fantasy points to fill his salary bucket. Bet on his floor (26.70 fantasy points) while understanding that Miami is a much better offense at home.

CeeDee Lamb, DAL (DK – $9,200/FD – $9,200)

Over the past three weeks, Dak Prescott upped his passing game, leading to 1,082 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 36.7 passes per game (31.7 over his first six starts). As a result, Lamb has three consecutive elite games (12/170/2, 11/191, and 11/165/2), thanks to a spike in his targets (14, 16, and 14). He finished 1st, 2nd, and 2nd in wide receiver scoring over this span. That lifted him to fourth (199.20 fantasy points) for the year. He is on pace to catch 128 passes for 1,981 yards and nine touchdowns. Last year, 24 of his 107 catches gained at least 20 yards. Lamb already gained 20 yards on 22 receptions in 2023.

Week 10 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

The theme for last week in the DFS market was the Houston Texans’ passing game, highlighted by the success of Tank Dell (6/116/2 – 1st) and Noah Brown (6/153/1 – 3rd). CeeDee Lamb (11/191) finished second, giving him explosive stats (23/349/2 on 30 targets) over the past two weeks. Three other wideouts (Amari Cooper – 24.90, Stefon Diggs – 22.60, and Diontae Johnson – 22.00) scored more than 20.00 fantasy points. Here are the top five wide receivers by scoring average in PPR formats after nine weeks:

Top Tier Options

Keenan Allen, LAC (DK – $8,800/FD – $9,000)

Since posting two impact games in Week 2 (8/111/2) and Week 3 (18/215), Allen averaged 14.76 fantasy points (30/318/2 on 44 targets). He remains on an elite pace (132/1,530/9 on 176 targets). The Chargers’ wideout had 66 catches for 768 yards and four touchdowns on 88 targets over the first three games, followed by 60 catches for 744 yards and two touchdowns on 95 targets over their last five matchups.

The Lions rank 14th vs. wide receivers (98/1,174/7 on 163 targets). Seattle (20/171/2), GB (15/210/1), and CAR (19/197/2) had the most success. Wideouts have a low catch rate (60.1) while gaining 12.0 yards per catch. CB Brian Branch (17/133/3 on 24 targets – per PFF) allows short yards per catch (7.8).

Allen has the edge in experience in his WR/CB matchup, and he is the Chargers’ top target by a wide margin. His salary requires more than 34.00 fantasy points, so Allen needs a high-scoring game with multiple touchdowns to be viable in Week 10. I view him as overpriced, and Los Angeles hasn’t shown the passing for him pay off in this matchup.

Ja’Marr Chase, CIN (DK – $8,600/FD – $9,300)

The Bills held Chase to four catches for 41 yards on eight targets while playing through a back issue after landing awkwardly on an incomplete pass. Cincinnati lists him as questionable for this week’s game. He was on the field for 90% of their snaps last week, suggesting that Chase should play on Sunday. His best value this year came in Week 3 (12/141), Week 5 (15/192/3), and Week 8 (10/100/1). Over his other five starts (5/39, 5/31, 7/73, 6/80, and 4/41), he failed to score more than 15.00 fantasy points.

The big mover in the wide receiver rankings in Week 8 was CeeDee Lamb after turning in the top production (12/170/2). DeAndre Hopkins (4/128/3) and A.J. Brown (8/130/2) were the other two players to post impact games. Ten wide receivers scored between 21.00 and 26.00 fantasy points, giving daily gamers many outs this week. Here’s a look at the top five wideouts in scoring average in PPR formats:

Elite Options

A.J. Brown, PHI (DK – $8,600/FD – $9,000)

With Ja’Marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, and Stefon Diggs off the main slate on Sunday, Brown will be a popular player at the top end at wide receiver. He has been exceptionally hot over his last six games (9/131, 9/175/2, 6/127, 7/131, 10/137/1, and 8/130/2), averaging 30.02 fantasy points in DraftKings scoring. Four of his five touchdowns came against Washington. Brown had two solid games (5/67/1 and 6/103) in 2022 vs. the Cowboys.

Dallas ranks second defending wide receivers (58/819/4 on 114 targets). Keenan Allen (7/85/1) posted the best game, and no wideout has gained more than 100 yards against the Cowboys. Their success in coverage has been helped by facing four poor passing offenses (NYG, NYJ, ARI, and NE). Dallas tends to keep their top two outside cornerbacks (Stefon Gilmore and DaRon Bland) at the same position on the field for most plays, That will allow the Eagles to get more favorable matchups for their top wide receiver. On the year, Gilmore and Bland allowed a combined 35 catches on 72 targets for 483 yards and two scores (Per PFF). Slot cornerback Jourdan Lewis is the weak link in coverage (12/168/3 on 19 targets).

The injury to CB Trevor Diggs should be exposed by the Eagles’ passing game in Week 9. Brown will get his chances, and he is trending forward in scoring. His winning streak stands at six games. But can his ticket come in every week?

Cooper Kupp, LAR (DK – $8,500/FD – $8,700)

The Steelers and Cowboys shut down Kupp over the past two weeks (2/29 and 4/21 on 17 combined targets). His regression in catch rate (35.2) over this span is a concern. And Los Angeles lost their passing magic from Week 5 to Week 8 (222/2, 226/1, 231/1, and 204/1) despite playing three games at home and having Kupp back in the starting lineup. The Rams had him on the field for all of their plays over the last three weeks, and he did shine vs. the Eagles (8/118) and Cardinals (7/148/1).

The top three scoring wide receivers (Jordan Addison – 31.30, A.J. Brown – 29.70, and Tyreek Hill – 25.80) from Week 7 didn’t play on Sunday’s main slate of games. Josh Downs (23.50) finished fourth in scoring in PPR formats, followed by Puka Nacua (23.40) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (23.20). Mike Evans (20.20) and Christian Kirk (20.00) were the only other two wideouts to score 20.00 fantasy points. Here are the top five wide receivers by scoring average after seven weeks in 2023:

Elite Options

Tyreek Hill, MIA (DK – $9,500/FD – $9,500)

Hill has a touchdown in three consecutive starts, giving him a second streak at this level in 2023. His seven scores lead the wide receiver position. Over the past three games (8/181/1, 6/163/1, and 11/88/1), he had a floor of 25.80 fantasy points in PPR scoring while averaging 11.3 targets. Hill has 23 catches for 501 yards and three touchdowns on 30 targets in his three home matchups. His lowest two outputs (5/40/1 and 3/58) came on the road vs. division opponents (NE and BUF). He has 41 catches for 611 yards and seven touchdowns on 62 targets over seven career games against the Patriots but less value in his time with Miami (8/94, 4/55, and 5/40/1).

New England comes off a big win vs. the Bills, where they held Buffalo’s wide receivers to 12 catches for 114 yards and one touchdown on 23 targets. The Patriots moved to 14th in wide receiver defense (86/978/6 on 133 targets). They’ve yet to allow more than 90 yards to a wideout while facing multiple top-tier players – A.J. Brown (7/79), DeVonta Smith (7/47/1), Tyreek Hill – 5/40/1, Jaylen Waddle (4/86), Garrett Wilson (5/48), CeeDee Lamb (4/36/1), Chris Olave (2/12/1), Davante Adams (2/29), and Stefon Diggs (6/58/1). CB J.C. Jackson faced Hill in Week 1 (3/99/1 on eight targets per PFF) while playing for the Chargers. Last week, in his second start for New England, he allowed seven catches for 61 yards and one score on 10 targets to the Bills’ wideouts.

Hill is on a record pace (129/2,191/17), averaging 10.6 targets and 17.0 yards per catch. He comes into this week with a hip issue, but Miami expects him to play. His ticket continues to come in the DFS market, making him a rotational elite player in the daily games each week. His salary requires an explosive game, something Hill has done once this year (11/215/2), along with three elite showings (30.70, 32.10, and 28.30) in fantasy points. His biggest negative is that Tua Tagovailoa has never posted an elite game vs. the Patriots despite having a 5-0 record.

Cooper Kupp, LAR (DK – $9,000/FD – $9,100)

After two productive games (8/118 and 7/148/1), Matthew Stafford struggled to get Kupp the ball against the Steelers. He caught only two of his seven targets for 29 yards, giving him his lowest output for an entire game since Week 6 (3/11 on nine targets) in 2020. The Rams had Kupp on the field for all their plays for the second straight week. In 2022, he had seven catches for 125 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets against the Cowboys.

Week 7 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

Three of the top four wide receivers in Week 6 ranked highly for the season or played well over the previous week or two. Tyreek Hill (28.30 fantasy points) has been on the winning ticket on DraftKings three times over the first six games while also being viable in Week 5 (8/181/1). Adam Thielen came into last week with three consecutive visits to the daily winner circle (11/145/1, 7/76, and 11/107/1) in the Millionaire Maker at DraftKings, followed by another winnable day (11/115/1).

Unfortunately, he finished second through 10th in the final standings in the Week 6 Millionaire Maker. Cooper Kupp flashed in his first game back in action in Week 5 (8/112), upping that total last week (7/148/1). Amon-Ra St. Brown (12/124/1) was the best wideout in Week 6, helping a wise team builder win $1,000,000. Only four other wide receivers scored more than 20.00 fantasy points in Week 6.

Top Tier Options

Cooper Kupp, LAR (DK – $9,500/FD – $9,700)

The daily games did their best to box DFS players from using Kupp in Week 7. His salary commands 38.00 fantasy points to pay off in DraftKings scoring, a game total he never reached in his epic 2021 season (37.30, 34.00, 37.60, and 34.70 fantasy points in his best four games). Last year, his best two outcomes in fantasy points came in Week 1 (31.80) and Week 2 (32.80). Each roster slot in a DFS lineup has a max value, so a 30+ fantasy game still creates an edge if the other outs a position don’t fix in the lineup box. Kupp was on the field for every play in Week 6.

The Steelers come into Week 7 sitting 29th in wide receiver defense (74/1024/6) with one disaster showing (23/290/2) against the Raiders and Davante Adams (13/172/2). Nico Collins (7/168/2) also posted an impact game. So far this season, Kupp has lined up in the slot for more than half of his plays, inviting a very winnable matchup vs. any Pittsburgh option in coverage. CB Patrick Peterson (16/238/4 on 28 targets per PFF) allowed big plays (14.9 yards per catch) and touchdowns (4). He can’t handle Kupp with one-on-one coverage.

Kupp has an elite floor, and the Rams’ offense has already produced many high-ranking games at running back and wide receiver over the first six weeks. The first stop in team building on Sunday starts with Kupp as 100 receiving yards and at least one score is a likely outcome. Ultimately, it’s about fitting the complementary piece behind him in a daily lineup.

Stefon Diggs, BUF (DK – $8,900/FD – $9,000)

Diggs gained more than 100 yards receiving in four consecutive games (8/111, 6/120/3, 8/121/1, and 10/100) while also posting a top-tier showing in Week 1 (10/102/1). On the year, he averages 11 targets per game, putting him on pace to catch 138 passes for 1,757 yards and 14 touchdowns on 187 targets (all career-highs). He played well in both games (7/92/1 and 7/104/1) vs. New England last season. In 2020, Diggs had one of the better weeks (9/145/3) of his career on the road against the Patriots.

New England is 14th vs. wide receivers (74/864/10 on 110 targets) while playing A.J. Brown (7/79), DeVonta Smith (7/47/1), Tyreek Hill (5/40/1), Garrett Wilson (5/48), CeeDee Lamb (4/36/1), Chris Olave 92/12/1), and Davante Adams (2/29). CB J.C. Jackson blew coverage in Week 1 (3/99/1 on eight targets) vs. Tyreek Hill, something many other cornerbacks have done in 2023. He fell out of favor with the Chargers’ coaching staff, leading to the Patriots picking him up. Over his first two games with New England, he allowed three catches for 21 yards on 10 targets. His success with the Patriots earned him a massive payday from the Chargers.

The Bills need a statement game after losing to the Jaguars in London and lacking an offensive pulse vs. the low-ranking New York Giants defense. His resume with the Bills has been a high floor player (23 games over 55 starts with more than 20.00 fantasy points) while offering the occasional impact game (41.50, 30.20, 44.80, 30.80, and 36.00 fantasy points). Both players moved into the top 10 in wide receiver scoring in PPR formats. Tyreek Hill (8/181/1) was the only other wideout to score more than 30.00 fantasy points. Eight wide receivers finish with 20.00 to 28.00 fantasy points. DeAndre Hopkins posted his best game (8/140), but he ranks 37th after his five starts with the Titans. Top Tier Options

Tyreek Hill, MIA (DK – $9,300/FD – $9,800)

Hill has been on the winning Millionaire Maker ticket at DraftKings in Week 1 (11/215/2), Week 3 (9/157/1), and Week 5 (8/181/1). He delivered lower results (5/40/1 and 3/58) in his other two matchups vs. division opponents. He is on pace to catch 122 passes for 2,213 yards and 17 touches, which would be career-highs in all categories. His rhythm last season over the first eight games and his start in 2023 leads to his best outputs coming every other week. Hill already has four completions of 40 yards or more.

The Panthers rank seventh in wide receiver defense (49/642/4 on 74 targets). Justin Jefferson (6/85/2) posted the best game against them, while DK Metcalf (6/112) is the only wideout to gain more than 100 receiving yards. Carolina’s success vs. wide receiver is somewhat masked by their poor run defense, leading to quarterbacks averaging only 27.6 passes. CB Donte Jackson has risk defending the long field (11 catches allowed for 202 yards and one touchdown on 17 targets ~ 18.1 yards per catch per PFF), and CB CJ Henderson (13/173/1) allows a high catch rate (81.3).

Hill brings a double jeopardy skill set for defenses to defend. His quickness is elite, setting up many easy catches over the short areas of the field. In addition, he can beat a secondary over the top in a blink of an eye. So far this year, I haven’t had Hill enough or used him in the correct team build. He is the player with the highest ceiling in many weeks, meaning a ride without him can lead to losing tickets more often than not. Rinse and Repeat.

Ja’Marr Chase, CIN (DK – $8,300/FD – $9,300)

The success of Chase in Week 5 (15/192/3 on 19 targets) was the first game in his career where he paired volume of chances with a long scoring play. In his two impact games (8/201/1 and 11/266/3) in his rookie season, he had 10 and 12 targets in those matchups while gaining 20 yards or more on eight plays. His only two catches of 20 yards or more this season went for 43 and 63 yards. Chase is now on pace to catch 150 passes for 1,618 yards and 10 touchdowns. His one strike is his yards per catch (10.8 – 12.0 in 2022 and 18.0 in 2021).

Week 5 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

From 2020 to 2022, eight wide receivers averaged more than 20.00 fantasy points in PPR formats. Half of these outcomes came from Tyreek Hill (20.57 and 20.43) and Davante Adams (22.46 and 20.25). After four weeks this season, eight wideouts stand tall in the land of elite outcomes compared to four running backs. The highest average for a tight end in 2023 is 14.08 fantasy by T.J. Hockenson.

In Week 4, A.J. Brown (38.50), Stefon Diggs (36.00), Nico Collins (35.80), and Puka Nacua (31.30) posted impact games, pushing the season total for wide receivers with more than 30.00 fantasy points to 12 (eight over the past two weeks). Five other wideouts scored between 20.00 and 30.00 fantasy points last week.

Tyreek Hill, MIA (DK – $9,000/FD – $9,400)

Hill saw his three-game scoring streak end last week against Buffalo while seeing only five targets (3/72). In his two starts vs. division opponents, he had eight catches for 122 yards on 14 targets compared to two elite games (11/215/2 and 9/157/1) in his other two matchups. I mentioned in another Hill profile this year that he started 2022 with a rhythm of an elite outcome every other week over the first eight games (8/94, 11/190/2, 2/33, 10/160, 7/47, 12/177, 7/72, and 12/188), something that has repeated out of the gate this season.

The Giants rank better than expected vs. wide receivers (12th – 41/540/4 on 64 targets) over the first month of the season, considering they allow more than 30 points a game with 14 touchdowns. Deebo Samuel (6/129/1) is the only wideout to gain more than 100 yards receiving. Miami will look to take advantage of CB Adoree Jackson (16/236/1 on 24 targets – 14.8 yards per catch per PFF) in this matchup.

Hill brings the explosiveness to the table, and the success of Miami’s run game only helps with his spacing in the secondary. He should bounce back in this game, but follow-through in the second half could be an issue if New York doesn’t put up a fight on the scoreboard. It’s a winning matchup where at least one long touchdown should be expected…

Week 4 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

Keenan Allen (45.95) and Davante Adams (42.20) posted the two impact fantasy point games at wide receiver in Week 3. Adam Thielen (31.50) built on his success in Week 2 (20.40), while Tyreek Hill (9/157/1) and Justin Jefferson (7/149/1) closed out the five scoring in PPR leagues. Seven other wideouts scored more than 20.00 fantasy points. Here’s a look at the top five wide receivers after the three games:

Justin Jefferson, MIN (DK – $9,600/FD – $9,400)

The most consistent elite wide receiver after three weeks has been Jefferson (9/150, 11/159, and 7/149/1), highlighted by his 38 targets (12, 13, and 13). The Vikings have had him on the field for 97.5% of their 204 plays. He’s gained over 100 yards in 13 of his last 21 starts while having a floor of seven catches in 14 of those games.

The Panthers have the fourth-best defense against wide receivers (31/396/1 on 49 targets). DK Metcalf (6/112) is the only wideout to gain over 100 yards. In Week 1, Carolina faced a Falcons offense that attempted only 18 passes. That led to only three catches for 31 yards by their wide receivers. Last year, the Panthers finished 28th defending wide receivers.

Jefferson is the most explosive ticket on the board each week. Especially if he adds impact touchdowns to his electric production. In addition, the Vikings have averaged 46 passes in 2023. It’s all about finding enough value to fit Jefferson in your DFS lineup.

Tyreek Hill, MIA (DK – $9,200/FD – $9,600)

Over his three starts in 2023, Hill has two difference-maker showings (11/215/2 and 9/157/1) while scoring in each matchup. Last year, he struggled to get open in both games (2/33 and 7/69) against the Bills, one without Tua Tagovailoa behind center. In the postseason in 2021, Hill excelled in the postseason (11/150/1) with Kansas City at home vs. Buffalo.

The Bills rank third in wide receiver defense (24/303/2 on 36 targets), allowing 6.6 yards per pass attempt with 12 sacks (nine in Week 3). Buffalo gave up only three touchdowns over the first three games (@NYJ, LA, and @WAS). In 2022, the Bills were about league average against wideouts (32.38 FPPG).

This matchup for Miami isn’t ideal for Hill based on the…

Week 3 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

Thankfully, we saw an increase in scoring last week. Hopefully, that action led to a better outcome in your DFS lineups. This week, our Week 3 DFS: Wide Receiver Report will help you make better lineup decisions in what looks like a challenging slate.

After two games, Justin Jefferson (9/150 and 11/159) and Puca Nacua (10/119 and 15/151) are the only two wideouts to score more than 20.00 fantasy points in both weeks. They also rank first and second in targets (25 and 35). Nine wide receivers have 20 targets or more.

Keenan Allen (8/111/2) led the Week 2, followed by Nacua (15/151) and Mike Evans (6/171/1). Seventeen wideouts scored between 20.00 and 30.00 fantasy points (eight in Week 1). In PPR formats, Tyreek Hill ranks first in wide receiver scoring (59.50).

Top Tier Options

Davante Adams, LV (DK – $7,800/FD – $7,900)

Jimmy Garoppolo looks Adams’ way 17 times over the first two weeks, leading to 12 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown. His ceiling has been limited due to the Raiders only attempting 50 passes. Last season, he had seven impact games (10/141/1, 3/124/2, 10/146/2, 9/126/1, 7/141/2, 8/177/2, and 7/153/2).

The Steelers showed risk vs. wide receivers in Week 1 (SF – 13/184/2). But a better pass rush (six sacks) and weaker quarterback play by Deshaun Watson led to a 50% catch rate on 28 targets with 160 yards vs. the Browns. In 2022, Pittsburgh finished seventh in wide receiver defense (29.60 FPPG) despite two disastrous games (BUF – 18/389/4 and PHI – 13/236/4). CB Patrick Peterson has already given up two touchdowns and multiple long plays.

Adams needs the Raiders to open up the passing game and do a better job moving the chains. He remains a volume pass-catcher with elite upside in scoring. Home cooking should treat him well on Sunday.

Justin Jefferson, MIN (DK – $9,300/FD – $9,700)

The game has been relatively easy for Jefferson over the first two weeks (20/309 on 25 targets). He’s gained 20 yards or more on 40% of his catches with an elite catch rate (80%). The structure of the Vikings’ receivers and their offensive game plan creates plenty of open field and opportunities. Last year, Jefferson scored more than 30.00 fantasy points in seven contests.

The Chargers have already allowed 32 catches for 565 yards and four touchdowns on 43 targets to wide receiver while allowing a dismal 17.7 yards per catch. Tyreek Hill (11/215/2) dominated their defense in Week 1. Last year, Los Angeles was slightly above the league average against wideouts (31.50 FPPG). CB J.C. Jackson made a couple of mistakes in Week 1, leading to a pair of long catches and a touchdown. Overall, he has held receivers to a low catch rate.
