Fantasy Football: Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups

From Adam Ronis, here is his Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups article with player recommendations to keep your Fantasy Football teams strong!

QB Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Allen wasn’t very efficient against, but he was productive for Fantasy. After rushing for at least 99 yards in three straight games, he was limited to 16 on nine carries against the Lions but rushed for a score for the third time in four games. Allen went 13-for-26 for 204 yards with a touchdown. Allen gets the Patriots in Week 16.

RB Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers

Aaron Jones was injured early in Week 15 and didn’t return. He has an MCL sprain and with the Packers eliminated from playoff contention; he’s likely to be shut down. Williams played 86.6 percent of the snaps and got all of the touches in the backfield. Williams had 12 carries for 55 yards with a touchdown and caught four passes for 42 yards against the Bears. He will be the lead back against the Jets in Week 16.

RB Kallen Ballage, Miami Dolphins

Frank Gore left Week 15 early with a sprained foot, and early reports are he won’t play the rest of the season. Instead of Kenyan Drake taking over, it was Ballage. The Dolphins have trust issues with Drake, who hasn’t been getting a lot of touches consistently, or the shoulder injury is limiting him. Drake had one carry for six yards and caught three passes for 28 yards on 28 snaps, while Ballage played 26 snaps and had 12 carries for 123 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown run against a good Vikings run defense.

RB Elijah McGuire, New York Jets

McGuire was the lead back against the Texans in Week 15 with Isaiah Crowell out for the season. McGuire played 56 snaps and had 18 carries for 42 yards with a touchdown and caught three of four targets for 29 yards in a difficult matchup against the Texans. McGuire gets an easier matchup this week against a struggling Packers defense.

WR Robby Anderson, New York Jets

It has taken a long time, but Anderson is back in the conversation as someone to consider starting in Fantasy. Anderson was quiet to start the season and exploded for 123 yards with two touchdowns in Week 5. He stayed quiet and had an injury, but has come on the last three games with at least seven targets. He scored for the second straight game against the Texans in Week 15. After four catches for 76 yards with a touchdown in Week 14, Anderson had seven catches for 96 yards with a score on 11 targets against Houston.

WR Robert Foster, Buffalo Bills

Foster was mentioned here last week, but he’s still available in many leagues. Foster had a season-high eight targets and caught seven passes for 104 yards in Week 14 and went over 100 yards for the second straight week with four catches for 108 yards with a touchdown. Josh Allen is looking for Foster deep and connecting. In the last four games, Foster has 105, 94, 27, 104 and 108 yards. The Bills should be playing from behind against the Patriots in Week 16, allowing Foster more opportunities to make a big play.

TE Matt LaCosse, Denver Broncos

LaCosse had two targets in his first two games since taking over as the starting tight end. Last week against the Browns he was more involved with four catches for 43 yards on six targets. LaCosse gets a Raiders team in Week 16 that has been one of the worst defending tight ends and is an option for those desperate at tight end.
