Fantasy Football: Week 2 Deep Sleepers

Many of you play in very deep leagues, and there are several big injuries with impact players sitting out in Week 2. While these players aren’t ideal plays if you’re looking for a deep sleeper, here are a few to consider.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek CarrQB Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders

Carr wasn’t highly desirable for fantasy this season, outside of leagues that start two quarterbacks or superflex formats. The Raiders did an excellent job protecting Carr in Week 1 against the Broncos, as he didn’t even get hit. Carr was 22-for-26 for 259 yards with a touchdown. The game script with be different this week with Carr trying to keep up the with the explosive Chiefs’ offense.Continue reading ...

Fantasy Football: Preseason Stock Watch – Emerging Sleeper RB

Stock Up

RB Duke Johnson, Houston Texans

Has there been a bigger winner in the preseason? Johnson was being drafted in the double-digit rounds when he was on the Browns. After the trade to the Texans, Johnson jumped several rounds. Then Lamar Miller tore his ACL last week, and Johnson has moved up a few more rounds. He’s projected to lead the backfield, although there’s a chance the Texans bring in another back. Johnson is one of the best pass-catching running backs. He caught 74 passes two years ago and has an ADP of 56 as the RB25.

Ronis Review: Jim Cramer’s Draft & Way-Too-Early QB Reach

One of the most difficult things for fantasy football players is to avoid drafting with your heart. It’s natural to select a player on your favorite team. Jim Cramer, who has a new fantasy site Bull Market Fantasy, participated in his work league draft on Wednesday night dressed in his Eagles jersey.

It’s a 12-team PPR format with the starters being one QB, two RB, three WR, one TE, and one flex.

We can say the first pick for Cramer definitely wasn’t a homer pick. The Eagles fan had the fourth overall pick and selected Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is holding out as of press time. It’s a risky pick since there’s the potential he can miss some games, but many would have him as the No.… Continue reading ...
