Securing these sleepers can make all the difference in compiling a championship roster. After much debate, the FullTime Fantasystaff has selected our Fantasy Football Sleeper of the Year (2025).
Last August, we implored you to wait on quarterback and select Washington Commanders’ rookie Jayden Daniels, our 2024 Fantasy Football Sleeper of the Year.

Jody Smith’s 2024 Fantasy Football Sleepers
The 2024 NFL preseason is officially underway. That means it is almost fantasy draft season- the most wonderful time of the year! For football fans, at least.
Fantasy football drafts have been going for some time and we have well-established ADPs to determine value. Using up-to-date draft positions and our 2024 fantasy football projections, we can mine out players who look ripe for exploiting their value. These sleepers can make all the difference between compiling a competitive roster and a real championship contender.
Here are some of my favorite values and sleepers to target in 2024 fantasy football drafts.
Quarterbacks
Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) – My most-rostered quarterback so far this season is Brock Purdy. After finishing as the QB6 last season, I’m not sure why the fantasy world seems to be out of Purdy. He is regularly available outside of QB1 range. However, Purdy is the perfect fit in Kyle Shanahan’s offense- a unit that ranked 4th in passing and 3rd in scoring in 2023. Also, the Niners are bringing back the same players who led the club to the Super Bowl. Finally, the 49ers have the easiest schedule for quarterbacks per FullTime’s Strength of Schedule Tool.
Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) – Overall, the quarterback position is very deep in 2024. That depth is another reason to simply wait to draft your signal caller and load up on other positions early. Like Brock Purdy, Trevor Lawrence faired better last season than fantasy managers seem to recall. Lawrence’s 2023 output (QB12) was eerily similar to his 2022 showing (QB7). Additionally, the Jaguars added Gabriel Davis and Brian Thomas Jr., giving Lawrence plenty of weapons. Lawrence has been durable and can boost his fantasy output on the ground behind an improved offensive line. Despite a rough schedule, I think he will contend for top-10 fantasy numbers once again. That makes Lawrence another solid value to target late in drafts.
Bo Nix (Denver Broncos) – I’m not saying Nix is an option in single-QB formats, but…

There is certainly no shortage of analytics and data available to fantasy football enthusiasts. One of the most useful tools available to the well-prepared fantasy drafter is to break down the strength of schedule for each position. FullTime’s 2024 Fantasy Football Strength of Schedule: RB looks at the most crucial position to give you a draft-day edge.
While there is plenty of strength of schedule analysis out there, FullTime Fantasy breaks down the data in a unique way. In addition to season-long data, FullTime Fantasy Members get access to all positions including IDP. Also, the data can be sorted by remaining games and broken down into sections. This can be especially helpful for high-stakes and tournament drafters looking for the edge during the fantasy playoffs.
After breaking down quarterbackspreviously, here is a deep dive into the 2023 Fantasy Football Strength of Schedule: RB and how to take advantage of that data this draft season.
The numbers listed include Weeks 1-17.
Favorable Schedules
Kyren Williams (Los Angeles Rams) – A league-winner in 2023, Kyren Williams is still being discounted in 2024. The addition of Blake Corum factors into that, but Williams was the second-best running back in fantasy football last season in fantasy points per game. Additionally, Sean McVay prefers to…

Call them sleepers, flag plants, ‘my guys’, hidden gems, or values. Targeting players who are primed to exceed their current ADP is a tried and true strategy for fantasy success. After writing up our FullTime Fantasy Sleeper of the Year, these are my personal 2023 Fantasy Football Sleepers.
Some of the players may not be considered traditional sleepers. They might be considered closer to draft-day values. However, these are players that I have been consistently targeting in drafts. Also, I believe they will exceed their current value.
Now, let’s break down the 2023 fantasy football sleepers and values that I am targeting this season.
Quarterbacks
Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) – Herbert isn’t a sleeper by any means. However, I’m including him because I feel Herbert belongs in the conversation of top-tier signal callers. The arrival of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore should do wonders for LA’s offense. Volume is already there, but I’m forecast some positive touchdown regression. Herbert is firmly my QB4, well above his FantasyPros ECR.
Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) – Wilson was my pick for Comeback Player of the Year in my Preseaon Pro. Wilson was victimized by terrible coaching last year. The arrival of Sean Payton alleviates that concern. Off the heels of a hot December and fortified by a top-10 schedule, Wilson looks like a top-10 fantasy QB that you can often snag in the last few rounds of fantasy drafts.
Desmond Ridder (Atlanta Falcons) – Is Ridder a breakout candidate with QB1 upside? No. However…

Reading between the tea leaves is a big part of having success in fantasy sports. Understanding the direction of a player, either by his natural progression or his status coming off an injury, can lead to finding a potential value or a player to avoid. Finding the right mid-round running backs to target on draft day is an important strategy.
And speaking of strategy, the FullTime Fantasy Draft Kit is loaded with exclusive, league-winning tips and advice to help you DOMINATE YOUR LEAGUE!This includes our No.1 rankings, sleepers, fades, and much more!
Identifying Mid-Round Value
In the early draft season, there are too many values at different positions in fantasy football. This creates almost a false ADP for someone jumping into drafts in August. The flow of players in June and July, before the general public catches up with drafting inventory, is built on different buying opportunities.
As training camp news flows and players start getting positive reviews, the ADPs begin to change. This tightens up the player pool and makes it more challenging to execute an early draft plan. Once this happens, the better drafters will make tradeoffs at specific points. This is to secure the most critical players for their fantasy team.
This thought process brings me to the running back options after the first 17 or 18 backs come over the table. Typically, in the BestBall formats that I have been drafting, the running backs come off in this order midway through the fifth round:
Behind each player’s name is a skill set and a story, requiring the casual drafter to understand before deciding who to select. These running back aren’t equal, and a couple will become difference-makers in 2023. Here’s my quick back story on each player.
Kenneth Walker – Excellent rookie season showcasing explosive runs and scoring. He struggled in pass protection, and Seattle brought in competition to play on passing downs. In addition, Walker had a slight groin issue in mid-August that is progressing.
Alexander Mattison – Tempting player based on him expected to start for a high-scoring offense and his success at times as a fill-in for Dalvin Cook. He gained 3.7 yards on his last 208 rushing attempts and 6.8 yards per catch over 47 receptions. With Cook in New York, Mattison has a higher chance of being a wasted pick in the fifth round than an impact player. If he struggles out the gate…
