Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans – Fantasy’s top wideout is week-to-week. Collins injured his hamstring after reeling in a long TD grab against the Bills. Unfortunately, hamstring injuries tend to linger, so we don’t expect Collins to be active in Week 6.
Aaron Jones (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Jones is week-to-week with a hip injury. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, so that gives Jones two full weeks to recover. However, a proactive waiver wire add of Ty Chandler makes sense for Jones managers.
Travis Etienne (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – A nagging shoulder ailment caused Etienne to be sidelined at the end of Jacksonville’s win. This helped lead directly to Tank Bigsby’s breakout performance. Also, it could result in Bigsby commanding more touches, leading to a split backfield.
A.J. Brown & DeVonta Smith (WR) Philadelphia Eagles – Following their Week 5 bye, the Eagles are expected to have both of their top wideouts back for this week’s home game against the Browns.
De’Von Achane (RB) Miami Dolphins – Achane suffered a concussion early in Miami’s Week 5 victory in New England. He must clear the league’s concussion protocol before he can return. That typically takes 1-2 weeks. Our early lean is to expect Achane to miss Week 6.
Evan Engram (TE) Jacksonville Jaguars – Engram was “close” to returning last week. However, he sat out for one more week. Doug Pederson opined that Engram is likely to suit up in Week 6.
Derek Carr (QB) New Orleans Saints – Carr left Monday’s loss with an oblique injury. Initial reports indicate the diagnosis is “not good.” UPDATE: Carr will miss multiple weeks. That puts Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler under center for the fading Saints.
Sources to me and @RapSheet: #Saints QB Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury he suffered against the #Chiefs.
New Orleans has two games in the next nine days, and the likelihood is Carr misses Sun vs. the #Buccaneers and Thurs vs. the #Broncos. pic.twitter.com/njLCXJuSA6

Davante Adams (WR) Las Vegas Raiders – Absent with a “hamstring injury,” don’t expect Adams back in Week 6. I think Adams has played his final down with the Raiders and expect him to be dealt.
Joe Mixon (RB) Houston Texans – A sprained ankle still hampers Mixon. DeMeco Ryans told the Houston media that Mixon’s status for Week 6 is up in the air. Therefore, we will have to monitor his practice participation all week. For now, consider Mixon unlikely to play.
Rashee Rice (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Rice underwent successful LCL surgery on Tuesday. His 2024 season is over.
Zack Moss (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – Per NBC Sports, Moss avoided a major ankle injury and is “believed to be ok.” We’ll monitor his practice participation. But for now, it is good news.
Khalil Shakir (WR) Buffalo Bills – Shakir is day-to-day with an ankle injury that forced him to miss Week 5.
David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns – After missing three games with an ankle injury, Njoku was limited to just 26 snaps before exiting Week 5 with a knee injury. That makes Njoku highly unlikely to suit up this week.
Xavier Legette (WR) Carolina Panthers – Legette injured his shoulder in the second quarter of Week 5. He did not return. However, the injury is not serious.
Will Levis (QB) Tennessee Titans – Levis had a week off to heal his AC joint injury. For now, we’re expecting Levis to be under center this week. However, that does NOT mean he’s a recommended play.
Jake Moody (PK) San Francisco 49ers – Moody will miss multiple weeks with a high-ankle sprain. The 49ers subsequently signed Matthew Wright to fill in.
