Fuego Steve’s Week 9 NFL GPP Plays

I am slightly changing the format for my write up this week. I will narrow down players to more of a core group of guys. If players aren’t listed here it doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad plays. It just means I will not have a ton of exposure to them. Obviously, studs like Antonio Brown, Kareem Hunt and Le’Veon Bell are always in play. If I really don’t like a high-end player this week, I will mention I am fading them. I will list some of the top tiered options and a few value plays or players I may have a few shares of. These are the players that I will have the most exposure to in my main GPP lineups.

QUARTERBACKS

Drew Brees – favorite QB of the week at home versus the Bucs

Alex Smith – been consistent this year with upside

Russell Wilson – can he repeat last week’s performance? Should get close

Lower priced options

Jacoby Brissett – can do a lot with your lineup if you use him at QB

RUNNING BACKS

Alvin Kamara – good price and has been involved, can even use him on Fanduel now. Like Mark Ingram too.

Ezekiel Elliott – last chance to roster him for awhile

Adrian Peterson – good spot this week versus San Fran

Christian McCaffrey – should get even more targets with no Kelvin Benjamin

Lower priced options

Buck Allen/Alex Collins – both backs are in play for the Ravens

Tevin Coleman – Devonta Freeman banged up, could be a good Coleman week

WIDE RECEIVERS

Michael Thomas – favorite high-priced wide out this week. Also like Tedd Ginn

Mike Evans – if playing Brees and Thomas, running it back with Evans on other side. Could also play DeSean Jackson on Tampa

Tyreek Hill – good spot versus the Cowboys

Dez Bryant – like him in same game as Hill. Could play them in the same lineup

Jarvis Landry – may even get more targets as he is an extension of the running game

Devin Funchess – targets should go up with no Benjamin in town

TIGHT ENDS

Jimmy Graham – prefer not to pay up for Ertz or Kelce. Graham has similar talent at lower price.

Jack Doyle – huge game last week, will be popular

Cameron Brate – good spot versus the Saints

Lower priced options

Tyler Higbee – Giantas have given up a Td in every game to the tight end

DEFENSE

Indianapolis Colts – min price as they were expected to play versus DeShaun Watson. They now get to face Tom Savage

Philadelphia Eagles – will be chalk going against Brock Osweiler

Jacksonville Jaguars – great spot versus Andy Dalton and the Bengals

KICKERS – Fanduel only

Pick one that fits your lineup. Usually pick kickers from games with good weather or in domes and with high over/unders. Who the heck knows. If I must… Robbie Gould is min price. Blair Walsh is $4700. Justin Tucker and Ryan Succop are $4900 in what should be a game of field goals.
