Week 8 certainly offered its fair share of fantasy lineup tricks and treats but it also had some key injuries and developments that will make the Week 9 waiver wire one of the season’s hottest. Here are some of the […]
Here are some of the low-rostered players to consider adding to your roster ahead of Week 9, with our FAAB target recommendations.
FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget
Adrian Peterson (RB) Tennessee Titans (15% FAAB) – He’s back! After word broke that Derrick Henry would probably miss the remainder of the fantasy season with a foot injury, the Titans quickly signed future Hall-of-Famer Adrian Peterson to act as their main between-the-tackles grinder. Peterson, 36, ground out 3.9 yards per carry in 156 attempts last season in Detroit but still proved to be an effective short-yardage option with a team-high seven touchdowns. Obviously, Peterson is a significant downgrade from Henry and offers little pass-catching skills, but if he can grind out 12-15 carries, AP can be a viable RB2/3 with solid TD upside behind Tennessee’s excellent run-blocking line.
Taysom Hill (QB) New Orleans Saints (13% FAAB) – Now that we know Jameis Winston (ACL) will miss the rest of the season, Hill, who himself is expected to be activated this week, is set to take over as the Saints’ starter for the remainder of 2021. Although Winston beat out Hill for the starting job this summer, Hill offers massive upside as a potential weekly QB 1, particularly in Week 9 against Atlanta.

I’ve got to stop buying candy. This year I actually did forget but ran into the drug store during halftime […]
Last week was certainly a slate we’re ready to move on from. The expansive bye week wreaked havoc on nearly every fantasy football roster and last Thursday’s showdown between the Browns and Broncos left a lot to be desired. Fortunately, […]
Fortunately, the schedule makers have blessed football fans with a much more appealing Week 8 tilt between two standout franchises that have won 13 of their combined 14 games.
With two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and plenty of talented skill position players, this week’s Thursday Night Football game promises to be the best mid-week pigskin that football fans have seen yet in 2021.
Let’s break down what viewers can expect to see between the Arizona Cardinals and visiting Green Bay Packers.

Week 7 will go down as one of the more memorable slates of the 2021 season, for reasons good and bad. Hopefully, you were able to utilize our waiver wire picks for last week and survive what was the most […]
Only the Ravens and Raiders are off this week, so things won’t be as dramatic, but there are still plenty of free agents available for fantasy football managers to target on their way to building that championship roster.
Here are some of those players and how much of your remaining FAAB to target for each.
FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget
Kenneth Gainwell (RB) Philadelphia Eagles (15% FAAB) – Miles Sanders suffered a serious ankle injury and could be sidelined for an extended period, depending on MRI results. Gainwell has acted as Philadelphia’s No. 2 back all season and now should be the heavy favorite to take over lead-back duties. That gives Gainwell weekly RB2/3 value for however long Sanders is absent and makes him a very desirable name to attack on the waiver wire.
Michael Gallup (WR) Dallas Cowboys (10% FAAB) – Odds are Gallup is rostered in your league but do your due diligence. Dallas activated Gallup from IR, which opens up a three-week window in which he could…

It’s bad enough we have to deal with a painful bye week, but plenty of other things are happening around […]
It seems like half the league is on bye thanks to all the fantasy talent missing this week. Yet, the schedule makers were still able to rustle up a seemingly bland Thursday Night Football matchup between the spiraling Denver Broncos […]
After opening the season 3-0, Denver has dropped three straight and hopes to take advantage of the short-handed Browns. Meanwhile, Cleveland has also dropped two straight and enters this week 3-3.
So what kind of impact will Cleveland’s injuries have and what kind of fantasy performances can we expect in the Week 7 version of our Thursday Night Football preview?
