4th and Goal DFS Plays

FILE - In this Sept. 20, 2018, file photo, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield celebrates during the team's NFL football game against the New York Jets in Cleveland. No. 1 overall draft pick Mayfield is set to make his debut as an NFL starter on Sunday when the Browns visit Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders a week after he led a comeback win in relief that snapped Cleveland's 19-game winless streak. Quarterback

Brady – The Pats are going to have a hard time running the ball with Miami giving up just 3.3 yards per carry. I feel like this is the week we can get Brady at 5-10%, where he has to throw 40-50 times. Miami will give the Pats a game, especially feeling themselves with their 3-0 record. Brady will do all he can to avoid a 3 game losing streak, and should have Gronk heavily involved today.

Watson – This game should be one of the higher scoring games today. Watson is mid priced on FanDuel which I think is a steal. He’s getting involved in the running game, and has connected with Will Fuller for 9 touchdowns in his last 6 games. He’s also thrown the ball at least 32 times in all 3 games this year, so we should see the volume again today.

Dalton  My Guy on the road. Another game that should be high scoring. He did throw 4 picks last week playing from behind, but this Atlanta secondary isn’t as good as Carolina. We’ll see Gio involved quite a bit so I expect Dalton to be pretty efficient as far as completions.

Mayfield – I love everything this kid does. His pocket presence and ability to keep his eyes downfield are really impressive. He missed on only 6 balls in just over 2 quarters last week, and we saw how effective this offense can be with an accurate quarterback. He lights up this Oakland defense today.

Beathard – This is my wildcard guy of the day. He wasn’t bad in terms of fantasy last year. He’ll get you 3-4X, at low 6K on FanDuel. One thing he does well is his ability to run and get in the box. He scored 3 rushing touchdowns last year in 6 starts. LA is a perfect matchup for him to get his feet wet again as the starter. He does dump the ball down a lot so Breida and Kittle should be involved often.

RUNNING BACKS

Gordon/Ekeler -Gordon has yet to hit the century mark in rushing this year, but with Keenan Allen dealing with a knee issue the Chargers should lean on the run today.

Barkley – All I’ve seen this morning is everyone talking about Eli – Eli – Eli. This is forcing me to want to play Barkley even more. If the does come down to the passing game, we’ve already seen him get 16 targets in a game so he’ll definitely be involved.

D. Johnson – My #1 point per dollar play today. I think DJ will be surprisingly low owned, with people seeing Seattle defense and thinking they’re the same team as they’ve been in the past. Arizona claims they’re going to get creative in ways to get DJ the ball so should see some type of increase in volume.

Coleman – Another great spot for Coleman this week after Cincy allowed over 180 on the ground to Christian McCaffrey last week. Coleman is in the similar mold and should do extremely well in this game. He’s had at least 15 carries in the last 2 games with him being the starter. Atlanta should be up in this game late, so they should lean on Coleman to run the clock out.

Breida – This is more so a DK play but I do like him a bit on FanDuel. Beathard checks down a lot which fits into exactly what Breida does for this offense. I expect San Fran to be down in this game, with Breida being heavily involved out of the backfield.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Beckham/Shepard – One of the higher owned plays and higher scoring games today. New Orleans has struggled to stop the pass this year ranking 30th in the league. New Orleans also struggles with #2 receivers giving up 144 yards per game.

Hopkins/Fuller – I love Watson in the spot, so of course I love the receivers as well. Fuller has 9 td’s in 6 games with Watson behind center and has gone over 100 in 2 games this year. Hopkins on the other side has been solid as well, getting double digit targets in all games this year with 1 TD.

Evans – Chicago with be without Amukamara which could spell trouble for the secondary. Evans has been unstoppable so far this year and should get his usual 10+ targets 100 yards and Td.

Hilton – He always has one blow up game against Houston a year. He went for 175 yards last year and over 200 yards a couple Years ago. Luck has showed the arm strength to chuck it deep so expect a long bomb today.

Robinson/Gabriel – I think this duo may go lower owned than we expect. Tampa has given up A TON of yard to #1 receivers as well as #2 receivers. Anthony Miller has already been ruled out, so those 4-5 targets a game should go to Robinson and Gabriel.

M. Williams – Keenan Allen is dealing with a knee issue, so targets could filter through Williams today. He’s scored 3 touchdowns in his last 2 games, so should get enough targets to put one in the box again today.

Allison – COBB IS OUT! BUMP HIM UP A BIT……85 yards and TD

Lockett

TIGHT ENDS

Gronk – Brady and him hook up twice today. Really hoping we can get him lower owned especially with the game log watchers.

Burton – Tampa gives up the most yards to tight ends. Burton showed a little bit of what we expected of him last week going for 55 yards on 4 catches.

Kittle – He and Beathard have the college connection even though Kittle wasn’t heavily involved in Iowa’s passing game. I wrote earlier that Beathard likes to check down a lot so Kittle will be the safety valve for him.

ASJ – Revenge narrative going against the Jets. If he doesn’t score we’re in trouble, but I do think Bortles finds him in the corner of the end zone today.
