Tonight we are looking at a 14 game slate. DK has removed the Astros/White Sox 2nd game. A lot of options today and listed below is a quick look at my favorite options.
PITCHERS
Matthew Boyd
This is an excellent matchup for Boyd tonight going against the Mariners who strike out close to a 30% clip ha LHP. Boyd throws the slider close to 40% of the time and most of the team does not hit the pitch well. Tom Murphy does destroy that pitch. Nice double digit K potential tonight for Boyd in this spot. Looking at 6 innings 10 Ks and 1 ER.
VALUE ARM
Brett Anderson
A reasonable price for Anderson vs a weak Giants team that don’t hit well vs LHP. The current Giants lineup has a K rate around 26% and this park should help limit HRs as well. Anderson is usually good for 6 + innings a run or two and 4+ Ks.
Also Consider: Dustin May vs Marlins.
DARK HORSE
Chase Anderson
Anderson is a reverse split pitcher where he pitches much better vs lefties. The Twins have been rolling out about 5 lefties each night, which is good for Anderson. They also have a ton of power, which makes him a bit of a risk. I can see him doin well enough to pay off his price tonight, especially if they roll out more lefties. Looking at 5 innings, 6 Ks and 1-2 ERs.
Thomas Pannone
Dirt cheap arm today going against a team that strikes out at close to a 30%clip vs LHP. Pannone’s Secondary pitch is the curveball and Calhoun(lefty) is the only one who hits it well. I don’t expect a clean game, but I can see him going 4-5 innings and getting 6Ks tonight.
TEAM/S TO TARGET
STL Cardinals vs Sparkman
Sparkman has been getting destroyed this year and especially as of late. Cardinals have most of the players back.
*Goldschmidt, Ozuna, DeJong favorites with Fowler and Thomas coming in next.
BATS
Freddie Freeman
Freeman hits well vs Wheeler’s pitch type and it makes sense why he is 12-24 with 12 walks vs him. Nice spot for Freeman tonight and will get over looked on a 14 game slate.
Gio Urshela
Continues to hit well and prefer him vs LHP. Os pitching staff and bullpen is one to pickup on.
Hunter Renfroe
Renfroe after a day off vs a rookie LHP that had allowed 5 HRs over his last 2 starts. McKay relies on the curveball as his secondary pitch and Renfroe destroys it. Low ownership 💣 tonight.
VALUE BATS
