The Staff
Richards – I personally think he’s one of the best young arms in the league, and have continuously said his changeup is by far one of the best in the league. Chicago is a mess right now, and get a negative park shift down in Miami. As long as Richards can stay ahead in counts and keep his walks down, there’s a lot strikeout potential.
(Risk factor 5)
Lucchesi – He did get rocked last start, but he’s back at home and against a putrid Rockies lineup. Arenado has San Diego ties which is fine, but Looch should carve up this lineup tonight.
(Risk factor 5)
Senzatela – Not really sure how deep he does tonight, but at min price he’s worth a shot. San Diego is hitting just .221 over the last 7 day against right handed pitching, while striking out 3rd most in the league during that time frame.
(Risk factor 6)
The Bats
KC – One of the hottest teams over the last week hitting .289 and 8 homers. Santana was hammered in his only start this year.
(1-9)
White Sox – Fillmyer is a pen arm who KC is trying to stretch out as a 5th starter. Righties hit him for average and power last year to a .328 average and 6 home runs.
(Righties – Moncada – Alonso)
St Louis – Peralta really has one pitch that he relies on which is a 91 mph fastball with a little bit of life. If it’s flat, he’s in deep trouble which is what happened last start. St Louis is one of the best fastball hitting teams.
(1-4)
Dodgers – Love the lefties in this spot tonight, facing Castillo who gives up a ton of hard contact to the split.
