PGA DFS Cheat Sheet for the Farmers Insurance Classic
John Rahm — Won here two years ago and needs to be in a least 25% of your lineups.
Rory McIlroy — Not sure if I love the spot here, but I love the player. I usually put Rory on 2-3 teams just in case he goes off.
Justin Rose — He shot well with his new clubs last week and is under the radar this week with Tiger and Rory around the same price range. Rose is actually the highest priced player on FD which should lower his ownership as well.
Tiger Woods — Tiger loves this course and he’s close to being back. I am still deciding if I am going to be at 40% with him or 20% but either way, I will own shares.
Jason Day — I am worried that this is his first tournament back. Will fade.
Tony Finau — This course is right up his alley. He will be chalky for sure, but I am thinking good chalk.
Rickie Fowler — Rickie could have a big year in 2019; I just don’t think it will be this week.
Patrick Cantlay — Cantlay is the guy that you don’t have in your lineups but all those in “the know” do.
Charles Howell III — Great course history here. Cannot overlook that in PGA DFS.
Gary Woodland — Great course history and playing better than ever.
Jordan Spieth — Where has he gone? I always like playing Spieth, but his putting has been so off than I just can’t get behind him.
Cameron Champ — Champ is going to be a star on the tour, but this is a great test to see how he does with a lot of terrific players around him. I am leaning towards pulling the fade.
Brandt Snedeker — Uber chalky this week.
Keegan Bradley — Loves this course and has improved his putting. A realistic chance to win if he can get hot.
Abraham Ancer — I think he goes under-owned and that is just fine by me as I will have a lot of shares.
Hideki Matsuyama — I know he’s not playing particularly well, but 8K seems like a gift. Or is it a trap? We will find out come Sunday.
J.B. Holmes — I really hate this guy (although he is a course horse here).
Sungjae Im — A super talented player, but I like him more in lesser fields.
Luke List — A dangerous flyer. He feels like a 40-1 shot who could be in exactas if I was betting at the racetrack.
Billy Horschel — When he’s good, he’s good and when he’s bad, he is a train wreck. It feels like a good week for him.
Branden Grace — Always dangerous on tough courses.
Kyle Stanley — Under the radar player who I like more than most experts.
Joaquin Niemann — Recency bias play after bad week last week.
J.J. Spaun — I always like playing him on the West Coast.
Brendan Steele — Blue Horseshoe likes Brendan Steele.
Stewart Cink — He’s been both very good and very bad here in the past. I have the feeling this could be a good week.
Joel Dahmen — One of the better players in the < 7k range.
Kevin Streelman — If I am going stars and scrubs, I will use him for sure.
Michael Kim — Likes this course but always seems to have one bad round.
Rory Sabbatini — A cut maker who I rarely play but should more often.
Ollie Schniederjans — Was T9 here two years ago if you are looking for a cheap play with upside.
Carlos Ortiz — Hasn’t played here in a few years but played well when he did.
Brandon Harkins — Love him as a cheap play on West Coast courses.
