Outlook: When Miami hired Adam Gase to be their head coach a few years back I was hopeful that this franchise would take the next step into becoming a perennial playoff team. However, Gase has fallen short as he has mismanaged the roster and has the “I know more than you” complex that hurts young coaches. If you read a recent Sports Illustrated, there was an article about Jarvis Landry. In it, Landry spoke of going to Gase and trying to talk to him about open routes and ways that he could be used more effectively. Gase then yelled at Landry and kicked him out of his office, telling him not to be concerned with those things. A short while later, Landry is then traded to Cleveland. A coincidence? I think not. If Miami starts this year in a big hole, Gase’s name might be the next one on the chopping block.

QB: We last saw Ryan Tannehill in Week 14 of the 2016 season when he went down with an ACL and MCL injury in his knee. He missed all of 2017 and is now fully recovered and is once again the main cog in the Dolphins offense. In the past, Tannehill has put up decent numbers (4000+ passing yards in 2014-15 with 24+ TDs), but that was with a much better receiving corps that he has now. I worry that Tannehill will lose any mobility that he once had due to the knee injury which will make him more of a pocket passer which is not one of his strengths. If healthy, I can see Tannehill putting up about 3800 passing yards and 20 TDs, but I still think he is QB 20-22 at best.
