With Leonard Fournette (hamstring) expected to miss the remainder of the fantasy season, Jones is now in prime position to see 15 touches for a Bucs’ offense that should be motivated to rebound quickly against the Panthers. Jones isn’t much of a receiver but looked more explosive as a runner Sunday night. View Jones as a locked-in Weekly RB2 moving forward and try to add him everywhere you can.

Now, with rookie Michael Carter expected to miss multiple weeks with a sprained ankle, Johnson offers RB2 upside for the next several games and should see plenty of passes as well as carries. View Johnson as a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues for the next few weeks and bid accordingly.

Cedrick Wilson (WR) Dallas Cowboys (8% FAAB) – With Amari Cooper (COVID) out and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) looking very unlikely on short rest, Wilson is in-line to be the Cowboy’s No 2 wideout on Thanksgiving and gets an appealing home matchup against a fading Las Vegas secondary that has allowed a league-worst six TD grabs to enemy wideouts over the past five weeks. A.J. Dillon (RB) Green Bay Packers (35% FAAB) – There is a solid chance Dillon is rostered in your league, but if he’s still available, the second-year back offers RB1/2 value for at least the next two weeks, while Aaron Jones is sidelined by a mild MCL sprain. Even after Jones returns, Dillon offers standalone value as a dual-threat runner who was already in on over 35% of Green Bay’s snaps before the injury to Jones. The fact that that injury is considered relatively minor lowers Dillon’s value slightly, but he’s still worth a substantial bid as a real difference-maker for the next two games and possibly longer.

Cam Newton (QB) Carolina Panthers (15% FAAB) – That didn’t take long. Newton re-signed with Carolina a few days ago and immediately made an impact, scoring twice and leading the Panthers to a much-needed victory. The contract Newton signed shows the team sees him as a potential starter and Matt Rhule has already said that the franchise is giving Newton starter reps ahead of Week 11. Jordan Howard (RB) Philadelphia Eagles (15% FAAB) – In two games since being activated off the practice squad, Howard has rushed the ball 29 times, accumulated 128 yards, and punched in three touchdowns. And apparently, Nick Sirianni plans to keep Howard involved in Philadelphia’s offense even when Miles Sanders returns. Howard won’t offer much as a receiver but can be a factor as the short-yardage back for an Eagles’ offense that is becoming increasingly reliant on the run.

Brandon Aiyuk (WR) San Francisco 49ers (10% FAAB) – After being dropped by the vast majority of fantasy managers who invested a mid-round selection on Aiyuk, the sophomore wideout is starting to heat up. In San Francisco’s past two games, Aiyuk has reeled in 10-of-15 targets for 134 yards and his second TD of the season. He might not wind up posting the premium WR2/3 numbers we expected in 2021 but Aiyuk can certainly be a viable contributor moving forward…

Here are some of the low-rostered players to consider adding to your roster ahead of Week 9, with our FAAB target recommendations.

Adrian Peterson (RB) Tennessee Titans (15% FAAB) – He’s back! After word broke that Derrick Henry would probably miss the remainder of the fantasy season with a foot injury, the Titans quickly signed future Hall-of-Famer Adrian Peterson to act as their main between-the-tackles grinder. Peterson, 36, ground out 3.9 yards per carry in 156 attempts last season in Detroit but still proved to be an effective short-yardage option with a team-high seven touchdowns. Obviously, Peterson is a significant downgrade from Henry and offers little pass-catching skills, but if he can grind out 12-15 carries, AP can be a viable RB2/3 with solid TD upside behind Tennessee’s excellent run-blocking line.

Taysom Hill (QB) New Orleans Saints (13% FAAB) – Now that we know Jameis Winston (ACL) will miss the rest of the season, Hill, who himself is expected to be activated this week, is set to take over as the Saints’ starter for the remainder of 2021. Although Winston beat out Hill for the starting job this summer, Hill offers massive upside as a potential weekly QB 1, particularly in Week 9 against Atlanta.
