Last week’s AFC North Thursday night shootout more than lived up to the hype. Conversely, this week’s NFC East tilt looks like a worthy successor. The upstart Washington Commanders travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. Our Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 11 has everything you’ll need to know about this intriguing battle for the division lead.
The Commanders have done a 180. It’s funny how competent ownership and a terrific rookie quarterback can turn a franchise around seemingly overnight. At 7-3, Dan Quinn’s club is 3-2 on the road and 2-0 in division play.
Meanwhile, the Eagles (7-2) sit atop the division standings with a slim half-game lead. Nick Siriani has led Philly to five consecutive wins after destroying the Cowboys last week 34-6.
This game opened with the Eagles as touchdown favorites. However, a ton of action on the Commanders has driven the line down from Philadelphia -7 to just 3.5. Conversely, the total has jumped up two points to 48.5.
Matchup
TEAM | OFFENSE | PASS | RUSH | YDS/PLAY | POINTS |
Washington Commanders | 4 | 7 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
Philadelphia Eagles | 6 | 24 | 2 | 11 | 9 |
Looking at the above stats, these teams are as evenly matched as the standings indicate. However, on defense, it is a different story.
The Eagles allow 274.1 yards per game, which ranks second overall. Philadelphia has surrendered the fifth-fewest points. They also rank second against the pass and fifth versus the run. This will be a tough matchup for Washington, who has had no problems moving the ball.
Nick Siriani’s crew doesn’t pass a ton but they don’t have to. The Eagles are content to use their ground game and take play-action shots downfield. While the Commanders have vastly improved defensively, they still allow the fourth-most rushing yards (142.7 per game).
That plays right into Philly’s hands.
This looks like a promising watch, with both teams mounting top-6 offenses that are top-10 in scoring. Therefore, the fantasy points should pile up.

Week 11 BYES: Arizona, Carolina, New York Giants, Tampa Bay
Audric Estime (RB) Denver Broncos – Sean Payton has said that Estime’s role will grown and it finally did on Sunday. The rookie led Denver’s backifled with 26 snaps (45%) and dominated the touches. Estime logged 14 rushing attempts against the Chiefs. Javonte Williams (1) and Jaleel McLaughlin (2) combined for three. Estime won’t contribute in the passing game. However, that kind of rushing volume can’t be ignored in Payton’s offense. View Estime as an RB3/flex option and be prepared to bid up to 15% of your FAAB.
Tyjae Spears (RB) Tennessee Titans – Speaking of usage, it was encouraging to see Tyjae Spears play a season-high 46% of Tennessee’s snaps in his return to the lineup. Tony Pollard only received two more carries than Spears but Spears was more effective, outgaining Pollard 47-44 on the ground. Expect the see the Titans revert back to their early-season backfield split. That puts Spears on the PPR RB3/flex radar.
Ricky Pearsall (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Now cemented into San Francisco’s lineup as a top-3 wideout…

Week 10 NFL Player Props
After a 3-3 week resulting in -.25 Units, we’re up 2.5 Units on the season. I know we haven’t been hitting it big like our red-hot start to the season, but it’s time to get on another win streak. We’re still in the green on the year, so let’s get down to business and identify the juiciest Week 10 NFL Player Props to target.

Derek Carr OVER 201.5 Passing Yards (-110)
On paper, things aren’t exactly looking rosy for Derek Carr. He’s lost his most explosive playmaker, Rashid Shaheed, and he’ll likely be without Chris Olave this week due to a concussion. To make matters worse, starting slot receiver Bub Means has landed on IR. Woof!
But don’t write off the Saints’ offense just yet! Even though they’re down three key wideouts, weapons are still in play. The tight end group is sneaky good, with three pass-catchers who bring different skill sets to the table. Take Juwan Johnson, for instance—he’s practically a wide receiver in a tight end’s body and has racked up 40+ receiving yards in three of his last four games.
Then there’s Alvin Kamara, who’s still a receiving dynamo out of the backfield, putting up 55 and 60 receiving yards over the last two weeks. Plus, the Saints have had more time to integrate new faces like Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Cedrick Wilson, so Carr isn’t completely out of options.
And very importantly, Carr is in a very favorable matchup. Atlanta struggles to pressure the quarterback (dead last in sacks per game) and allows a league-worst 70.85% completion rate. Carr has played the Falcons three times since joining New Orleans, averaging a solid 269 yards per game, including a 239-yard outing in Week 4.
So, while the Saints’ recent injuries and their loss to Carolina might have some people worried, Carr’s passing line this week seems like an overreaction. It’s a lower number than it should be, and Carr has plenty of tools left to work with against a vulnerable Falcons defense…
