We’re Ready For Baseball

Exit stage left, WBC. March Madness, what happened, where’s the madness? Hey NBA and NHL, are you still playing? WE’RE READY FOR BASEBALL! Here’s a fresh spin on the upcoming 2026 season.

American League

EAST: The defending AL Champ Toronto Blue Jays won’t fly south for the playoffs after losing Bichette to the Mets and half their pitching staff to injuries. They’ll actually come in last place.

WEST: The Texas Rangers, perhaps inspired by Chuck Norris’ passing, won the division title led by ex-Mets Nimmo and DeGrom and new SP2 MacKenzie Gore.

CENTRAL: The Kansas City Royals lineup deserves some love. Bobby Witt Jr drags them to a pennant but doesn’t overlook Maikel Garcia, Sal Perez, and Vinnie Paz.

National League

CENTRAL: The Pittsburgh Pirates are going to plunder the division and run off like they stole something, which they’ve done already with CY Skenes. Give me all your new Pirates: stud prospect Konnor Griffin and acquisitions O’Hearn, Ozuna & Lowe.

EAST: Speaking of the NY Mets, it’s been a rough offseason for fans, but this roster is still good enough to lose to the Dodgers in the NLCS. Invest in the young pitchers.

WEST: The San Diego Padres are going to. Never minded. Don’t overthink it, just pick up as many Dodgers players as you can stuff into your lineup. And if you play in an announcer league, add him too.
