For those Fantasy owners who have Bills RB Devin Singletary on their team, just be patient as his day as a starter is coming. The game script against the Giants worked in Frank Gore’s favor, but it’s obvious that Singletary will be the player to own in just a few short weeks.
The only Miami Dolphin that I am remotely willing to own at this point is WR Preston Williams. Everyone else seems to have bailed on the team. There are reports that RB Kenyan Drake might get his wish and be traded. This would increase the value of RB Kalen Ballage a smidge, but not enough to make a Fantasy dent.

This was the second straight week that Ravens QB Lamar Jackson dominated the field. However, before we get too excited, we need to remember that he played the Dolphins and the Cardinals—two of the worst defenses in the NFL. The competition steps up for him considerably in the coming weeks, so we will have to see how much he has truly improved as a passer before we can anoint him a top three Fantasy QB.
I am officially putting an APB out for 49ers WR Dante Pettis. All through the preseason I though head coach Kyle Shanahan was kidding about Pettis not being the starter. Against the Bengals, Pettis was virtually non-existent. Rookie WR Deebo Samuel stepped up and was brilliant and Marquise Goodwin re-appeared as a Jimmy G favorite. Sadly, I think it will be musical chairs for every wide receiver not named Kittle in San Francisco.
Lions WR Kenny Golladay usually gets overlooked when Fantasy owners talk about the top 10 receivers in the NFL, but every week Golladay seems to make a big play and find the end zone.
Vikings QB Kirk Cousins had a dreadful game in Week 2, with a QB rating of 52.9. This does not bode well for WRs Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. I might consider trading them if you can get an offer that pays you full price before people realize there are major issues with the Vikings’ passing game.
There must be some concern for Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook owners. For the second game in a row, Westbrook was overshadowed by D.J. Chark and Chris Conley. Westbrook is getting covered by the opposing team’s top CB which might be scaring Gardner Minshew off from making the tough throws to him. This needs to be watched carefully in the coming games until Nick Foles returns.
The Seattle Seahawks may have won a big road game, but for the second week in a row, their defense looked less than solid. Steelers backup QB Mason Rudolph played very well in Roethlisberger’s absence. While this may prove that Rudolph is Ben’s heir apparent, it also magnifies the issues the Seahawks have in their secondary.
Why is Fantasy Football such a difficult game to win? Last year, Colts RB Jordan Wilkins was everyone’s sleeper pick and he had a poor season as Marlon Mack stepped up. However, against the Titans, Wilkins ran for 82 yards on five carries, proving that he is a capable backup should Mack get hurt.
Redskins WR Terry McLaurin’s game against the tough Cowboys defense should make it clear that he is a viable starter moving forward in deeper leagues.
Why do you need to be a member of FullTime Fantasy? Because I told you that Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson was the player to own in Tyreek Hill’s absence. Robinson has a great rapport with Patrick Mahomes and although he won’t get 172 yards and 2 TDs every week, he stands to be a potential scoring threat every game Hill is out. And with Sammy Watkins’ injury history, Robinson could eventually be Mahomes’ go-to pass-catcher not named Travis Kelce.
This just in: Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky is not a very good player. It has almost become unwatchable. I know the Packers and Broncos are two good defenses, but Trubisky still looks lost and has severe accuracy issues. While I am willing to admit that he might improve, I can tell you that I would cut him in every league I owned him. I would rather Derek Carr or Andy Dalton at this point without question.
NFL Games can turn on one play. There was no reason that the referee should have called that play dead which almost lead to the Saints defensive TD. At the very least he should have called it a fumble and had the reviewers look at the play. This turned the momentum against the Saints and really seemed to deflate them as a team.
Moreover, the Saints are in big trouble with QB Drew Brees out for the next six weeks. Backup Teddy Bridgewater looked awful and his presence hurts the Fantasy value of WR Michael Thomas and TE Jared Cook.
The Falcons and the Eagles played a great game on Sunday night, but one thing was abundantly clear: the Falcons are going to need to run the ball better if they want to make another appearance in the Super Bowl. RBs Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith need to step up their game to help QB Matt Ryan out. The Falcons go on the road to Indianapolis in Week 3, which should be a good place for them to work out the kinks in their rushing attack.
