Fantasy Football: Dr. Roto’s Week 2 Prescription Notes

For those Fantasy owners who have Bills RB Devin Singletary on their team, just be patient as his day as a starter is coming. The game script against the Giants worked in Frank Gore’s favor, but it’s obvious that Singletary will be the player to own in just a few short weeks.

The only Miami Dolphin that I am remotely willing to own at this point is WR Preston Williams. Everyone else seems to have bailed on the team. There are reports that RB Kenyan Drake might get his wish and be traded. This would increase the value of RB Kalen Ballage a smidge, but not enough to make a Fantasy dent.Continue reading ...

Offense Outlook

Indy finished with the second more passing attempts (644) in 2018 while seeing Andrew Luck have growth in his success passing the ball. The Colts ran the ball well at times, but overall they lacked consistency on the ground. This season Luck has more toys, which points to more scoring.Continue reading ...

Fantasy Football: Week 1 Sleepers

QB Tyrod Taylor, Cleveland Browns

The former Bills quarterback enters a much more favorable situation from a fantasy standpoint, even if the Browns were a winless team last year. Buffalo ranked 31st in pass attempts last year and 29th in yards per play, while Cleveland was 9th in pass attempts primarily because of the Brownies horrendous defense. Taylor should have ample weapons at his disposal with Josh Gordon expected to suit up in Week 1 and slot-maven Jarvis Landry working the middle of the field. Cleveland hosts a Steelers team that fell apart defensively after ILB Ryan Shazier suffered a traumatic injury last year and Taylor is a dual threat capable of leading his team into a shootout against the Black and Yellow.… Continue reading ...

Dr. Roto: Dynasty Football Deep Sleepers!

Daily Dr. Roto—May 2, 2018

Dynasty Football Rip Van Winkles

Here are ten players selected on Day 3 of the NFL Draft who might have Fantasy relevance in 2018:

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman — Broncos GM John Elway might have gotten a huge bargain here with Freeman. Freeman was considered a potential first round pick going into his last season at Oregon but then was injured and saw a lot of eight-man defensive fronts. He will get the shot to win 1st and 2nd down carries in Denver and could find his way to 200+ carries this season.

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup — Gallup might be one of the most pro-ready receivers in this year’s draft class which is a good thing since Dallas is going to need him to play right away now that Dez Bryant is gone.Continue reading ...
