MLB DFS Early Slate 6/27

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

This article is for the early 6 game slate. Listed below are my favorite pitchers along with a few teams and my favorite bats.

Paying down for pitching on this slate. Anderson and Jurado are in solid spots and should do well. These 2 should both pick up the win today as well.

** Contest selection is key. Single entries and 3 entry Max are excellent choices. Preferably contests with under 1k players.

DK has recently added these contest and they are nice options. Also, if you wait until about 1-hour before lock DK releases more SE and 3 entry max contests with a smaller player pool. Usually 300-500 entries. These have been my targets as of late.

*Some weather concerns in Minnesota late start expected, but looks like it will clear up a bit for a few  hours.

PITCHERS

Chase Anderson

Anderson has been up and down most of this year with a few good starts. He gets a good matchup tonight vs the left handed heavy Mariners (they have been running out 6 lefties). This year Anderson has limited lefties to a .168 average, under 1 HR/9 to them and has yet to allowed a HR at home to a lefty. He has been getting hit by RHHs, but the Mariners usually only run 2-3 out (Santana, Beckham would be the main 2 and I could see Santana going yard today). The Mariners have struggled vs RHP as of late and the current lineup has a 27% K rate and Anderson has struck out batters at a 24% clip this year . Looking at 6 innings 7Ks and 1 ER.

VALUE ARM

Ariel Jurado

Jurado has gone at least 6 innings in 5 of his last 6 starts and has a solid GB rate of 50% vs both sides of the plate. Going against the Tigers who have not hit well against RHP this year and over the last 30 days (.234 average with a 26% K rate). Looking at 5 innings 6 Ks and 2 ER. Enough to pay off his salary and get some expensive bats in.

TEAM/S

Texas Rangers LHHs

Turnbull  @ Home vs LHHs- .341 average and 1.5 HRs/9.

*Exposure to Milwaukee Brewers vs Mike Leake &  Atlanta Braves vs Chatwood.

Sneaky

TB Rays

Martin Perez is not the same pitcher as he was to start the year. Over the past 24 innings he has allowed 29 hits and 20 runs. Also the Twins bullpen has allowed a 4.99 ERA , .272 average and 1.5 HRs/9 over the past 30 days. The Rays have hit well vs LHP over the last 30 days with a .290 average with Garcia, D’arnaud, Pham (.429) and Robertson all hitting over .300 in that time-frame. Yandy Diaz is scheduled to return tonight and helps this team vs LHP.

CORE: Pham, Garcia and Zunino or d’Arnaud.

Other:  Adames– nice value. Diaz is back in the lineup. 1-6 in play but Core my favorites.

CATCHER

Mike Zunino– hits in 4 straight games. Perez has allowed 4 runs in 3 straight games. 6-15 with 3 HRs off Perez. Travis d’Arnaud in a good spot as well if Zunino sits.

Robinson Chirinos

FIRST BASE

Dominic Smith HRs in 3 straight at Citizens Bank Park. Nola getting hit this year, especially by lefties.

Josh Bell- Peacock struggles at home vs lefties .280 average and 2 HRs/9.

Freddie Freeman

SECOND BASE

Ozzie Albies

Mike Moustakas

Value– Adam Frazier, Brad Miller

THIRD BASE

Josh Donaldson- matches up well vs Chatwood.

Mike Brosseau

Value– Travis Shaw, Yuri Gurriel

SHORTSTOP

Alex Bregman

Value– Orlando Arcia

OUTFIELD

Joey Gallo/Nomar Mazara

Ronald Acuna- matches up very well vs Chatwood.

Christian Yelich/Ryan Braun

Michael Conforto- hits well in Citizens Bank Park and Nola struggles vs LHHs.

Tommy Pham/Avisal Garcia

VALUE OF

Corey Dickerson- big game last night and another one tonight. Peacock struggles vs lefties and Dickerson hits sliders and sinkers very well. HR today.

Jacoby Jones- hits RHP well and Jurado has struggle vs righties.  Nick Castellanos is in play as well.
