The NBA season is back and last night it started with a two game slate and tonight we get a nice 11 game slate. Let me start off by saying that the pricing is pretty soft on both sites and this is the best time to take advantage of under priced players.
- Two fastest paced games and highest game totals on the slate- Rockets and Pelicans and Nuggets and Clippers. Get some exposure to these two games.
- Heat are running slim tonight with James Johnson, Dion Waiters our and Winslow, and Ellington doubtful.
NBA DFS is all about value (which is salary divided by FPs) and 5x or higher.
FPPM(Fantasy Points Per Minute)
*James Harden, Anthony Davis & Giannis are the three highest priced players on the slate. There is enough value to fit two of the three tonight.
Point Guards
Chris Paul (HOU)
Paul averaged 50.5 FPs over three meeting vs the Pelicans last year. Â Nice spot for him tonight.
Jamal Murray (DEN)
Kid likes to shoot and don’t see anyone on the Clippers stopping him tonight. Plays a ton of minutes.
Dennis Smith Jr. (DAL)
DSJ should be going against Isaiah Canaan tonight, Â he should easily dominate. Add in the fact this is a big pace bump for the Mavs.
Fred VanVleet (TOR)Â
Delon Wright is questionable and could potentially sit opening up more minutes for VanVleet who is under priced on FD. He has flashed 50 plus FP upside last year and had many games in the 25-30 FPs range. Excellent matchup fro the Cavs. If Wright is ruled out VanVleet becomes excellent play, especially on FD.
Trey Burke (NY)
Starting tongith for the Knicks. Excellent matchup and should easily hit value plus at his price.
Also consider De’Aron Fox
Shooting Guards
Devon Booker (PHO)
Booker the Suns offense and he should see some one at PG, where his FPPM were a bit higher.
Jrue Holiday (NO)
Played very well when Boogie was off the floor. Averaged 42 FP vs the Rockets last year.
Caris LeVert (BRK)
Alan Crabbe is out tonight leaving more minutes for LeVert who has played well this preseason. All around player that should easily hit value tonight.
Luka Doncic (Dal)Â
Doncic played well in the preseason and should continue tonight vs the Suns in a pace up game for the Mavs.
Frank Mason (SAC)Â
Frank Mason will enter the starting lineup at SG in place of Bogdan Bogdonavic(injured) for the start of the season due to his strong preseason. Excellent value on DK and solid value on FD.
Rodney McGruder  is minimum price and startimg tonight. Excellent value play.
Small Forwards
Danillo Gallinari (LAC)
This is a great spot for Gallo in this fast paced high scoring game. He loves to shoot and should get off 15-20 shots tonight. Revenge narrative in play.
Josh Richardson (MIA)Â
Heat are with out a few players tonight and J Rich is the one who usually steps up and takes on the additional usage. Good defensive upside with steals and blocks to go along with scoring and rebounds. Like his upside tonight.
Jimmy Butler is only 6.7k on DK.
P.J. Tucker (HOU)Â
Tucker should see 25-28 minutes tonight and is cheap enough to return 5-7x tonight in this matchup.
Sam Dekker (CLE)
Dekker is minimal price and should see additional minutes with Nance and Smith out tonight. Sneaky play that possesses 6-7x upside.
Power Forwards
Kevin Love (CLE)
Love the main option now on the Cavs and last year with James off the court he averaged 1.45 FPPM. Double/Double upside just about every night.
Kelly Olynyk (MIA)
Olynyk is another one of the Heat that should benefit tonight from
Nikola Mirotic & Julius Randle (NO)
Mirotic and Randle are both is good spots tonight and have high upsides. They both averaged 1.1 FPPM last year.
Ryan Anderson (PHO)
Cheap on both sites and don’t see anyone on the Mavs stopping his outside shot. Excellent value play.
Noah Vonleh (NY)
Vonleh is a rebounding machine. He should dominate the boards tonight.
Centers
Hassan Whiteside (MIA)Â
Way too cheap for his upside and excellent matchup. Up and down most of last season, but played very well this preseason. Â Whiteside could double/double by halftime. My favorite option at center for price/upside. Bam Adebayo should see an increase in minutes tongith as well making him a viable option.
Andre Drummond (DET) & Nikola Jokic
Drummond has dominated the Nets. Jokic is playing in a higher paced/scoring game with triple double upside. Prefer Jokic if you want to pay up. He is a FPPM Monster 1.3.
Enes Kanter (NY)
Kanter averaged 1.2 FPPM and 22% usage last year. Minutes have always been the issue and if he gets 25 Â plus minutes he could easily hit value on this matchup. Had an excellent preseason.
Alex Len (ATL)Â
The Hawks will be without DeWayne Dedmon and Alex Len should slide into the starting lineup. He averaged just about 1 FPPM last year and should see around 25-30 minutes tonight.
Jakob Poetl (SA)
It looks like Gasol will start for the Spurs, but I still see Poetl getting 20 plus minutes and putting up 25 plus FPs tonight. Excellent value and leaves room to pay up elsewhere.
