We didn’t get to see a lot of starters in Week 3 of the preseason. Many teams played it cautious and sat players the whole game. There were some revealing things, and it has reflected in ADP. Here are risers and fallers after the third preseason game.

RISERS

Peyton Barber, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

For now, Barber is the starting running back, and for most of the draft season, he wasn’t targeted. He has looked good in the preseason with 15 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie Ronald Jones has struggled with 18 carries for 18 yards, and it will take some time for him to carve out a more prominent role. Barber has an ADP of 76 in the FFWC, while Jones had slipped to 111.

Keelan Cole, Jacksonville Jaguars

The season-ending injury to Marqise Lee has given a boost to all the Jaguars receivers, including Dede Westbrook and Donte Moncrief. Cole was already starting, and he has an ADP of 102. Cole led the Jaguars with 748 receiving yards last season. That ADP is too rich for me. I see the Jaguars spreading the ball around and relying heavily on the run. I’ll take a Jaguars wide receiver only if they fall. They’re not a target. I took Cole in a draft Monday night in round 14, but he will go higher in most.

Bilal Powell, New York Jets

Early in the draft season, it appeared Elijah McGuire would be ahead of Powell. The Jets are high on McGuire, but he’s injured and likely out to start the season. Powell played 24 snaps compared to Isaiah Crowell last week. Powell has an ADP of 122 and has value early in the season. He could be a good fill-in if you draft Mark Ingram and need to fill in the gap with Ingram’s suspension.

Adrian Peterson, Washington Redskins

Peterson’s preseason game has vaulted him to a middle round pick. He has an ADP of 106 in the FFWC. The Redskins drafted Derrius Guice to be the answer at running back, and he tore his ACL. Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine, who sat out last week with an ankle injury, are the competition for Peterson, who looked good with 11 carries for 56 yards. Peterson is 33, and I have doubts he can hold up for the season. Peterson won’t catch many passes with Chris Thompson the pass-catching back. I’ll pass on Peterson.

FALLERS

DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins

Parker was going in the sixth to seventh round range a few weeks ago. I thought it was too expensive for a player that has disappointed his first three seasons. Parker has a finger injury and hasn’t been cleared to catch. Kenny Stills is the Dolphins receiver to own. Parker’s ADP has dropped to 135. While there’s little risk involved with that price, a few receivers are going after I like better.

Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks

Penny was once going in the third round. Penny has missed the preseason with a broken finger, although there’s a chance he could play in the preseason finale Thursday. Chris Carson is the lead back to begin the season, but the Seahawks spent a first-round pick on Penny when they had plenty of other needs. Penny has an ADP of 82, and I would buy there. It will take some time for Penny to be a factor, but he will get a shot.

Marlon Mack, Indianapolis Colts

Mack has fallen due to injury. He has a hamstring injury and hasn’t been able to practice or play. He’s iffy for Week 1. No one has seized a role with Mack out. Jordan Wilkins has been average, Nyheim Hines keeps fumbling, Robert Turbin is suspended four games, and Christine Michael started a preseason game. Mack is my preferred option of all of them. Mack has an ADP of 107.

Martavis Bryant, Oakland Raiders

Bryant hasn’t done much in the preseason with two catches. Jon Gruden has been critical of Bryant at times. Bryant has gone as early as 157 and as late as 237 with an ADP of 207. The quiet preseason has him dropping. He won’t be drafted in leagues with 16 rounds, but in the FFWC with 20 rounds, there’s little risk taking him in round 17 to see how the first few weeks play out.
