Pitching appears bleak today.
Justin Verlander … Houston at home against the Angels isn’t as easy of a slam dunk considering the Angels are still fighting for a final wild card spot. JV has been really good since coming to Houston and really good in the second half. He’s the top arm today by a mile.
Jon Gray … The Padres are on the verge of making a final playoff push… Wait, they’re eliminated? Damn. Anyways. I’m gonna keep going back to this well until it falls. Oh, wait. It’s died the last four nights in a row. Well. Jon Gray won me a ton of money last year when he pitched in San Diego? How’s that for a reason?
Masahiro Tanaka … Has pitched very well versus Toronto and the Jays are bad and completely mailing it in. Tanaka needs a good start before the playoffs and I’ll consider him as a second lineup guy
Jeff Samardzjia … Yeah, it’s this bleak. I won’t go Hill who likely doesnt pitch deep and the Dodgers are returning home after an east coast trip? Shark shutdown mode tonight folks.

Kyle Gibson … Tigers have mailed it in. Twins winning every day it seems.

Nick Martinez … Texas wins 10-1 tonight and Martinez will limit Oakland’s HR upside… Hedge it.

Diamondbacks … A lefty in Chase field with the roof “possibly” opening mid way through the game and Arizona needing a win? Just eat the JD Martinez chalk. Eat it. All of it. Royals … Salvy, Hosmer, Moose, Melky and my main man WHIT! Royals will keep rolling and play loose all weekend. I think we see some offensive fireworks from them the rest of the way. Red Sox … If they can’t hit some HR in Cincinnati then they’re really the worst power team of all time. Sneaky / Tier 2Braves … Lively and the Phils go on the road where they’ll struggle.
