Pitching appears bleak today.
Justin Verlander … Houston at home against the Angels isn’t as easy of a slam dunk considering the Angels are still fighting for a final wild card spot. Β JV has been really good since coming to Houston and really good in the second half. Β He’s the top arm today by a mile.
Jon Gray … The Padres are on the verge of making a final playoff push… Β Wait, they’re eliminated? Β Damn. Β Anyways. Β I’m gonna keep going back to this well until it falls. Β Oh, wait. Β It’s died the last four nights in a row. Β Well. Β Jon Gray won me a ton of money last year when he pitched in San Diego? Β How’s that for a reason?
Masahiro Tanaka … Has pitched very well versus Toronto and the Jays are bad and completely mailing it in. Β Tanaka needs a good start before the playoffs and I’ll consider him as a second lineup guy
Jeff Samardzjia … Yeah, it’s this bleak. Β I won’t go Hill who likely doesnt pitch deep and the Dodgers are returning home after an east coast trip? Β Shark shutdown mode tonight folks.
