Week 4 Prescription Notes
— I don’t have a problem with Colts HC Frank Reich going for it on fourth down in Overtime. Yes, his team lost the game, but who really wants a game to end in a tie anyway? QB Andrew Luck had been on fire all game long and threw a bad pass. The upside is that RB Nyheim Hines gets better with every passing week and should be a huge part of the team’s offensive plans moving forward.
— The Giants continue to play horrible football. Even worse, is that they cannot seem to get WR Odell Beckham Jr. involved in their offense. OBJ is one of the three best receivers in the league and OC Mike Shula needs to devise ways to get him open. Speaking of Shula, he was a disaster calling plays in Carolina and could never get Christian McCaffrey in open space. If the Giants want to compete, Pat Shurmur may have to start calling the plays soon.

— Losing TE Tyler Eifert is going to be a big loss for the Bengals, but it’s something the team has had to live with before. Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah are respectable backups, and Kroft has a good rapport with Andy Dalton, but I think that Eifert’s injury makes WRTyler Boyd even more critical to their offense.
— Do you have any doubts about Patriots RB Sony Michel? I don’t. I think it’s clear that James White is the team’s pass-catching back, but so long as the Patriots are playing with a lead, Michel should be good for 20 carries each week.
