Visionary Plays for Week 8
Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes — I say the same thing every week: START MAHOMES! Denver’s run defense has been putrid all season which should set up nicely for some play action passing downfield leading to some big plays and possible scores.
Aaron Rodgers — The Packers running game is a mess and the Rams front four is going to bottle up Jones and Williams all game long. The only chance the Packers have of winning this game is through Rodgers. I think he has over 300 yards passing this week and three TDs. I am not calling for the upset victory, but I think this game will be one where the Rams must play the full four quarters.
Andrew Luck — The Raiders are letting up passing yards in droves and Luck has been the best QB in Fantasy for the past month. Marlon Mack is very questionable with an injury and I can easily see the Colts sitting him with their BYE week coming up in Week 9. If that’s the case I think Luck will pass more than ever and is a must start.
Jared Goff — Goff has tailed off over the last few weeks, but I think that is more due to the fact that the games have not been close, and Todd Gurley has been magical. If the Packers can keep this game competitive (which I think they will), Goff will be throwing the ball for all four quarters, making him a top five starter.
Andy Dalton — This is the last week that you hold onto Dalton if he plays poorly. Dalton and the Bengals take on the Bucs who are not only a bad defense, but they are without Kwon Alexander and two other big-time players on defense (McCoy and Curry) are questionable. I do worry slightly that this will be a Joe Mixon week, but Dalton is in a prime position for Fantasy success.
Ben Roethlisberger — Big Ben is a beast at home and is a must play against a Browns defense that has logged a ton of minutes this year playing in multiple overtime games.
