Waiver Wire Wednesday
Quarterbacks
Joe Flacco — He’s not going to play the Bills every week, but so far, he’s looking pretty good. Lamar Jackson is hot on his heels for playing time, but that seems to be inspiring Flacco to be at his best. I like him as a streaming start vs. Cincy.
Case Keenum — Keenum is no one’s first choice at QB, but he is a smart player who gives his team a chance to win games. Don’t be shocked by him connecting so well with Emmanuel Sanders — they could be one of the top tandems in all of the NFL this season.
Andy Dalton — Dalton is playing behind an improved OL and with an OC who knows how to call plays. Add to that a healthy John Ross and a solid running game with Joe Mixon and Dalton is looking solid once again in Fantasy circles.
Ryan Fitzpatrick — I was as surprised as anyone that Fitz looked so good against the Saints defense. That said, I have always liked his competitiveness and his willingness to throw the ball downfield. If Fitz keeps up this level of play, Jameis Winston might be on the sidelines a little longer than originally anticipated.
Josh Allen — Yes, the team stinks, but Allen showed some mobility out there, and I was impressed with him overall. Nathan Peterman is a complete train wreck, so Allen should get the chance to start beginning Week 2.
