Sean Manaea was facing the hottest team in baseball Saturday night. The Red Sox were 17-2 and on a roll offensively. Manaea silenced the Red Sox, throwing a no-hitter with two walks and ten strikeouts. Manaea was on my target list and he has excelled so far.
Manaea threw 108 pitches; 75 for strikes. He is 3-2 with a 1.23 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and a 30:6 K:BB ratio in 36.2 innings. He has allowed only 16 hits and has pitched at least seven innings in four of five starts.
Patrick Corbin, like Manaea, has been one of the best values so far. Corbin went six innings and allowed two hits, one walk, two runs and struck out 11 in six innings in a win over the Padres. He has a 1.89 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and a 48:6 K:BB ratio in 33.1 innings Corbin allowed a two-run homer to Christian Villanueva, who has seven home runs. He is batting .355 with 13 runs and 16 RBIs.

Kris Bryant passed initial concussion tests after he was hit in the head by a pitch Sunday. He has a laceration above his eye.
Kenley Jansen made things interesting Sunday night, but he did convert his third save with a one-run lead. After allowing singles to Matt Adams and Wilmer Difo, he struck out Andrew Stephenson and Trea Turner before Howie Kendrick flew out to deep center. Jansen touched 93-94 miles per hour and has a 6.23 ERA and 1.62 WHIP.
Johnny Cueto pitched six scoreless innings against the Angels for a win and hasn’t allowed a run in 13 innings since coming off the DL. Cueto allowed two hits, two walks and struck out seven. In 26 innings, he has a 0.35 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and a 23:4 K:BB ratio.
Javier Baez is one of the hottest hitters and has moved up to the second spot in the order. He went 2-for-6 with a solo homer and two-run double Sunday. He has seven home runs and 23 RBIs.
Mike Clevinger threw a two-hitter, walked two and struck out three in a 4-0 win over the Orioles Saturday. He is 2-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 1.05 WHIP.
C.J. Cron is on fire. He hit two home runs Saturday and hit another Sunday. He is batting .273 with five home runs and 13 RBIs. He has five multiple hit games in his last six.
Manny Machado hit two home runs off Corey Kluber Sunday. He is batting .356 with eight home runs.
Jose Ramirez hit two home runs Sunday.
Teoscar Hernandez has been hitting well since he got called up. He homered off Luis Severino Sunday and is batting .343 with three home runs.
Blake Snell allowed one run on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts in seven innings in a win over the Twins. He has a 2.54 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and a 32:10 K:BB ratio in 28.1 innings.
Mitch Haniger went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a homer and three RBIs Sunday. He is batting .314 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs.
Aaron Nola has been lacking strikeouts, but he he had nine Saturday in seven innings. He allowed six hits, two runs and walked none. He has a 2.30 ERA and 0.93 WHIP.
Josh Reddick went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and grand slam Saturday. He has six home runs and 15 RBIs.
Charlie Blackmon went 3-for-5 with three runs and a homer Sunday. He is batting .304 with 18 runs, eight home runs and 15 RBIs.
After a disastrous outing the last time out, Jose Quintana was better at Coors Field. He allowed four runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings to get a win. He allowed solo homers to Blackmon and Nolan Arenado. The two other runs came on a two-run triple by Trevor Story on a ball that should have been an out, but Jason Heyward lost the ball in the sun.
Keone Kela allowed three runs while getting one out on Saturday. The next day, he came into a 7-4 game and allowed a single and double before retiring the next three for the save. He has converted all three of his save opportunities.
Who has been the best Fantasy catcher? Yadier Molina. He went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI Sunday and is batting .316 with six home runs and 16 RBIs. He has two stolen bases.
Paul DeJong hit his seventh homer and is batting .260. He has struck out 31 times in 77 at-bats.
Hyun-Jin Ryu had another strong outing against the Nationals Saturday, throwing seven scoreless innings with two hits, three walks and eight strikeouts. He is 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA over his last 19 innings.
Stephen Strasburg struck out ten and allowed two runs, two walks and five hits in a loss to the Dodgers.
Keynan Middleton pitched 1.1 innings and struck out three for his fifth save for the Angels.
Garrett Richards went six innings and allowed two runs, five hits, one walk and struck out 11. He has a 3.46 ERA.
Mike Trout hit his ninth homer Sunday.
Once again, Yu Darvish had one real bad inning to ruin his day. He threw 4.2 scoreless innings before walking pitcher Tyler Anderson. He allowed five runs in the fifth.
Jacob deGrom and Julio Teheran had a good pitching duel Saturday. Teheran threw seven scoreless innings and allowed one walked, four hits and struck out six and deGrom allowed four hits, two walks, no runs and struck out ten in seven innings as both took a no-decision.
Brandon Belt homered for the fourth straight game Sunday, his fifth of the season. He also had a 21-pitch at-bat.
Manuel Margot returned from the DL Saturday and went 0-for-8 over the weekend.
Delino DeShields was activated from the DL Sunday and went 0-for-4.
Carlos Gonzalez was placed on the DL with a hamstring injury and David Dahl was called up. Gerardo Parra is also serving his four-game suspension. Dahl should play while Gonzalez is out and he has power and speed.
Adam Wainwright was placed on the 10-day DL with right elbow inflammation retroactive to April 20. He felt the discomfort in his last start and a bullpen session. Wainwright tweeted out he will be back soon. Jack Flaherty should replace him in the rotation and can be added in leagues.
The Yankees called up top prospect Gleyber Torres on Sunday. He started at second base and went 0-for-4 . Torres, 21, should play every day mostly at second base and is worth an add in leagues of 12 teams or more.
The Nationals finally placed Anthony Rendon on the 10-day DL after he missed more than a week with a left toe injury. The move was made retroactive April 19.
Josh Hader allowed an unearned run in two innings to pick up his third save. All three have been two innings and he has a 29:4 K:BB ratio in 14.2 innings.
Mike Moustakas hit his seventh homer Sunday.
Jake Lamb will be shut down for the next few days due to tendonitis in his right elbow. He is recovering from an AC sprain in his left shoulder.
Eugenio Suarez hit off a tee and did soft-toss Saturday. He has a fractured left thumb and didn’t feel any pain. He’s still a few weeks away.
Dee Gordon is dealing with a minor foot injury and was give a day off Sunday. He did pinch hit and pooped up to end the game.
Trey Mancini injured his knee Friday sliding into the wall in foul territory. There’s no structural damage and he sat out the next two days. He is expected to avoid the DL, but miss a few days to start the week.
Byron Buxton is on the DL with migraines and could be activated as soon as Wednesday.
Xander Bogaerts will start a two-game rehab assignment Tuesday at Triple-A. If it goes well, he should return Friday.
The Dodgers will call up Walker Buehler to start Monday in place of Rich Hill, who is expected back later in the week so it might only be a spot start, although the Dodgers have a doubleheader Saturday. In deeper formats, he’s worth owning.
Tommy Pham is still dealing with a sore groin and sat out Saturday and Sunday.
Doug Fister is scheduled to join the Rangers rotation Wednesday.
Mark Trumbo will resume his rehab assignment Monday.
Tyler Flowers will begin a rehab assignment Monday at Triple-A. He will play at least four games.
The Mets moved Matt Harvey to the bullpen. Jason Vargas will replace him.
Nationals manager Dave Martinez said he’s hopeful that Adam Eaton will return from the DL sometime this week.
Rich Hill threw a successful bullpen Sunday and is eligible to return April 25.
Jose Bautista could be added to the Braves roster some time during the April 23-May 3 road trip.
