Week 12 Deep Sleepers
QB Nick Mullens @TB
Mullens has made two career starts and both were at home. He was excellent in his debut against a Raiders defense that was putrid and Mullens took advantage with 262 yards and three touchdowns. He wasn’t as good against the Giants with 250 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Mullens gets another great matchup against the Buccaneers, who allowed the most Fantasy points against to quarterbacks and the most touchdowns (25) while intercepting one pass. The Buccaneers don’t apply a lot of pressure on quarterbacks and are allowing quarterback to complete 74.7 percent of passes.
RB Elijah McGuire vs. NE
McGuire hasn’t had a big game yet, but has played the Bilal Powell role in his first two games since coming off the injured reserve. McGuire had seven carries for 30 yards and three catches for 37 yards in Week 9 against the Dolphins and he had six carries for 30 yards and three catches for 27 yards against the Bills in Week 10 when the Jets offense was awful. The Jets are 10-point underdogs against the Patriots and should be passing often playing from behind, leading to more snaps for McGuire.
RB Josh Adams vs. NYG
There are still people who will shy away from Adams based on the lack of volume. Last week, Doug Pederson said Adams will get more touches going forward and the Eagles were blown out against the Saints. The encouraging thing was Adams was involved in the passing game. He ran 16 routes, had six targets and caught three for 19 yards in addition to rushing seven times for 53 yards with a touchdown. Adams has been the best back for the Eagles the last three games with 23 carries for 161 yards. The Eagles would be one game out of first place if they win and Adams has a great matchup against the Giants, who have allowed nine rushing touchdowns and six receiving touchdowns to running backs. The Giants have allowed at least 121 rushing yards to running backs in three straight games.
WR Curtis Samuel vs. SEA
Samuel hasn’t been playing a lot of snaps, but when he’s on the field the Panthers are getting him the football. Samuel has at least four targets in three straight games and had a season-high seven targets last week. He caught five passes for 55 yards with a touchdown. Devin Funchess is listed as doubtful, meaning he’s unlikely to play, and Samuel should see more time on the field. He has double-digit points in PPR formats with limited opportunity.

WR Marquise Goodwin vs. TB
Goodwin has a low floor, but he has a huge ceiling in an appealing matchup. Goodwin has nine targets in the two games with Nick Mullens at quarterback. He had one catch for 11 yards on four targets against the Raiders as the 49ers built a huge lead. Goodwin had four catches for 69 yards on five targets against the Giants. The Buccaneers have allowed the third-most Fantasy points to wide receivers, including 16 touchdowns.
TE Jonnu Smith @HOU
Smith is finally getting more involved in the offense and the Titans have injuries at wide receiver. Smith had 27.5 percent of the targets last week, leading to a season-high eight targets. He had six catches for 44 yards. He scored a touchdown in Week 9 and Week 10. He has reached double-digit points in PPR formats in three straight games. The Texans have allowed 18 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns the last two games.
