GREEN LIGHT
Chris Archer (Rays) @DET, vs. TOR
Archer has disappointed with a 6.61 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. The strikeout percentage has dipped to 24.5 percent and he’s allowing a lot of hard contact. He is coming off a win and has allowed six earned runs and a 12:2 K:BB ratio over his last 12 innings

Matt Boyd (Tigers) vs. TB, @KC
This is for deep formats and I am not fully confident. Boyd doesn’t throw hard and he’s not as good as the 2.74 ERA. His fastball averages 88.7 miles per hour. The appeal for Boyd is two favorable matchups.
Mike Clevinger (Indians) vs. TEX, @NYY
Clevinger has a 2.56 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, but a 17.6 percent strikeout rate compared to 27.3 percent last year. Clevinger has cut down the walks from 12 percent to 7.2 percent.
Marco Estrada (Blue Jays) @MIN, @TB
Like last season, Estrada is getting burned by home runs. He allowed 1.5 HR/9 last season and has allowed seven in 27 innings. He has faced the Yankees twice, the Red Sox and pitched in Baltimore. He gets an easier path this week.
Kyle Gibson (Twins) vs. TOR, @CWS
Gibson is difficult to figure out. He pitched well the final two months last season and has shown flashes so far. He went into Yankee Stadium, likely on the bench in most leagues, and pitched six scoreless innings, allowing one hit and struck out ten. He has a 3.33 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, but a 56.5 percent first-pitch rate leading to a 12.2 percent walk rate. Gibson is difficult to trust.
Rich Hill (Dodgers) @ARI, @SD
Hill has made three starts and is scheduled to come off the DL.
Jake Junis (Royals) @BOS, vs. DET
Junis has a 3.34 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. He allowed five home runs in his last outing against the White Sox. The Red Sox start is the concern.
Jordan Montgomery (Yankees) @HOU, vs. CLE
Montgomery’s biggest problem is walks. Even when he’s pitching well, he issues walks. He has a 3.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and doesn’t allow hard contact.
Sean Newcomb (Braves) @NYM, vs. SF
Newcomb is doing what we thought. He’s getting strikeouts, not allowing hard contact and still issuing too many walks. He has a 28.1 percent strikeout rate, 11.6 percent walk rate and 1.48 WHIP.
Tanner Roark (Nationals) vs. PIT, vs. PHI
Roark has a 3.77 ERA and 1.00 WHIP and has allowed two earned runs or less in three of five starts.
Eduardo Rodriguez (Red Sox) vs. KC, @TEX
He is pitching well with a 3.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 24.5 percent strikeout rate and 8.5 percent walk rate.
Jeff Samardzija (Giants) vs. SD, @ATL
Samardzija was good in his first start coming off the DL and awful in his last start. He’s going to be erratic, but these are matchups to use him.
Aaron Sanchez (Blue Jays) @MIN, @TB
Sanchez has good stuff and he should be better. A 17.2 percent strikeout rate is disappointing. He has a hard hit rate of 24.2 percent. He has faced the Yankees twice and the Red Sox.
Jameson Taillon (Pirates) @WAS, @MIL
After allowing two earned runs in his first 20.1 innings, Taillon has allowed 12 runs over 5.1 innings in his last two starts.
Andrew Triggs (A’s) @SEA, vs. BAL
Triggs has had one awful start and four good ones. He is averaging a strikeout per inning.

RED LIGHT
Alex Cobb (Orioles) @LAA, @OAK
Cobb has a 13.11 ERA and a 4:3 K:BB ratio in 11.2 innings. He has allowed 30 hits and 17 earned runs.
Jake Faria (Rays) @DET, vs. TOR
Faria is struggling with a 6.33 ERA, 5.91 BB/9, 46.9 percent hard hit rate and a 1.59 WHIP.
Brandon Finnegan (Reds) vs. MIL, vs. MIA
He has allowed nine walks in 12.1 innings and three home runs.
Kyle Freeland (Rockies) @CHC, @NYM
Freeland was excellent in his last start at home, but it’s difficult to trust him with these two matchups.
Sonny Gray (Yankees) @HOU, vs. CLE
Until Gray gets better command, you can’t use him. He has allowed 16 walks in 21 innings.
Lance Lynn (Twins) vs. TOR, @CWS
It’s difficult to trust Lynn. He didn’t pitch much in spring training since he signed late and it could be an issue. He has walked 18 in 18.2 innings and allowing a lot of hard contact.
