The Green Bay Packers narrowly escaped the season opener with a 10-3 victory over the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football. The only touchdown of the game came when Aaron Rodgers hit veteran tight end Jimmy Graham in the end zone to take a 7-3 lead. That would be all the Packers would need on offense considering how dominant the defense performed.
Each team consistently got to the opposing teams’ quarterback, as the Packers sacked Mitchell Trubisky five times and the Bears matched Green Bay with five sacks of their own. Perhaps the biggest difference was the interception that the Packers forced Trubisky to throw as Chicago attempted to mount a late-game comeback.
There weren’t many players who performed well from a fantasy standpoint, but both defenses did quite well. As for the rest of the players, you can see how many points they put up in PPR leagues. Chances are, unless you owned Allen Robinson or Jimmy Graham, you will be disappointed.
