If you analyze any winning Fantasy Football team, they usually have one or two great values they selected in the double-digit rounds. In competitive leagues, finding these values is key to success. Here are five candidates to consider.
WRÂ Josh Doctson, Washington Redskins
Doctson was expected to take a leap in his second season last year and fell short of expectations. That means his value is down in 2018. He was a first-round pick in 2016 but missed most of his rookie season with an Achilles’ injury. Doctson was excellent in college and very athletic. Doctson could be the main red zone target for the Redskins. He had six touchdowns on 35 catches last season. Doctson is being drafted as a bench player and has immense upside.
WR Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears
Draft Miller now before he makes a big play or two in the preseason. The buzz isn’t too high on him yet. The Bears traded into the second round to select the rookie receiver. Miller turns 24 this season, so he’s older than the typical rookie. Miller was excellent at Memphis with 32 touchdowns in his final two seasons. Matt Nagy is the new coach for Chicago after serving as offensive coordinator for the Chiefs the last two seasons. The Bears signed Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton, but Miller could be the No. 2 option in the passing game.
RB Matt Breida, San Francisco 49ers
Jerick McKinnon is getting a lot of hype and being selected in the second round. Kyle Shanahan running backs have success, but he tends to use two. Last season, Carlos Hyde had 240 carries and Matt Breida had 105. McKinnon has never had more than 159 carries in a season. He averaged 3.8 yards per carry last season and 4.0 for his career. Breida rushed for 465 yards and two touchdowns with 21 catches for 180 yards with a score last season. Joe Williams could also be in the mix for touches, too.
Find out why Adam Ronis says you should AVOID this overpriced WR until at least the fifth round!
TE Ricky Seals-Jones, Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinal didn’t address tight end in the draft or free agency, implying they have confidence in Seals-Jones. Bruce Arians rarely used the tight ends in the offense and he’s gone. Sam Bradford loves to target tight ends, even though his health is a risk. Still, Seals-Jones had 16.8 yards per catch and was a receiver in college at Texas A&M. Seals-Jones, at 6-foot-5 and 243 pounds, is a big mismatch for the defense and with a lack of receivers that command targets outside of Larry Fitzgerald, Seals-Jones is a good target as a backup tight end.
WR Quincy Enunwa, New York Jets
Enunwa has been forgotten since he had a neck injury in training camp last season and needed surgery to repair a bulging disc. Two years ago, Enunwa had 58 passes for 857 yards and four touchdowns. All reports say Enunwa is healthy.
