QB Tyrod Taylor – Over three seasons as the starting QB for the Bills, Taylor went 22-20 while developing into a very good game manager. His best asset ended up being his ability to minimize turnovers (16 Ints in 42 games) while providing winning plays in the run game (310/1711/15). Tyrod has a respectable completion rate (62.4), especially when considering the weak receiving talent in his career with Buffalo. Even with his ability to run, Taylor did take 88 sacks over the last two seasons. Cleveland has receiving talent at RB and WR with a developing TE. If Tyrod doesn’t win games, the Browns will make a quick switch to Baker Mayfield to help his development.… Continue reading ...

Five quarterbacks were selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. That is the most number of signal callers picked in Round 1 since 1999, the year Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper were drafted. Leading 2018’s class of QBs is Baker Mayfield, who was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the first overall pick. Since 2000, the Browns have had 26 different quarterbacks start a game. After being taken with the No. 1 pick of the 1999 draft, Tim Couch started 59 games for Cleveland and recorded just 22 wins compared to 37 losses. The Browns are hoping Mayfield will produce different results.… Continue reading ...

2018 NFL Mock Draft
Pick 1: Cleveland Browns – QB Sam Darnold, USC
The Browns will select a quarterback. The question is which one? They have been linked to several of the top quarterbacks and it wouldn’t be surprising if they took any of them. There are some rumors building up that it could be Josh Allen, but they will most likely take Darnold. He has good size and has never missed a game due to injury.… Continue reading ...
Daily Dr. Roto—April 23, 2018
With the NFL draft just around the corner, I’ve decided to step away from Fantasy Baseball for a few days and do some Draft previews.
There are five players who are expected to be drafted in the 1st Round:
Josh Allen — At the end of the day, I feel that the Browns will select Allen as the first player in this year’s draft. He’s got the size (6’5”, 240 lbs) and a cannon for an arm. He is the prototypical pocket passer that every team wishes they had under center. His accuracy is in question (under 56% for his college career), but how many guys have his arm strength and can make the throws he does?… Continue reading ...
Dr. Roto and Adam Ronis discuss the potential landing spots along with the pros and cons of quarterback prospects Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen. Recently, there has been talk of Mayfield landing with the New York Jets with the No. 3 pick of the NFL Draft. Both experts agree that leadership is a key element to having a successful career in the NFL. While Mayfield’s leadership is much more fiery, his lack of size could be an issue when attempting to pass over huge defenders. Still, Mayfield should be one of the top quarterbacks off the board on draft day.
