After a one-week hiatus, the Fantasy Football Recap Week 8 is back. Speaking of returning from a layoff, welcome back to the fray offensive production! Week 8 had some massive fantasy performances and even Kyle Pitts managed to score a touchdown.
In the opening slate of Sunday action, the OVER went 5-2. Also, home teams were 6-1 straight up and 5-2 against the spread. Not only did it feel like there was more action in Week 8, but the initial numbers prove it.
Conversely, it was an exciting end to the second month of the NFL season. And, it was a great way to cap off what was an exhausting week.
Welcome Back
As the Welcome Back Kotter theme song plays in my head, I’m still reeling from a week of travel. I was out of town from very early Monday and had a busy week of presentations and data.
I’ll admit, I ate well and enjoyed some adult treats but it was a difficult week for my routine. After seven weeks of the same weekly process centering around football, I was a bit rattled ahead of Week 8.
Don’t get me wrong- we were in good hands here at FullTime Fantasy. My partner Billy Muzio stepped up and took care of the waiver wire. The Godfather himself, Scott Atkins also outworked the Sweathogs.
Of course, I was still involved in the process. I just had to pull some late-night shifts and do more behind-the-scenes labor than usual.
Admittedly, I was in a bit of a brain fog toward the latter part of the week. Hundreds of miles of travel and little sack time will do that. But it’s good to be back to that normal routine.
Who’d have thought they’d need ya? Back here where we need ya.
