5 GAME SLATE
NOTES:
*Bulls have some players out tonight and they provide some solid value plays.
*Favorite game Blazers/Spurs
POINT GUARDS
Damian Lillard
Lillard coming off a rough game after playing lights out for 6 games. Poor shooting performance and see him bouncing back tonight. Going right back to him tonight against the Spurs who are the best defensive team.
Also consider:
Dejounte Murray- nice matchup.
Russell Westbrook- benefits The most with Capela gone.
SHOOTING GUARDS
Zach LaVine
Kris Dunn is out and most will go to White, Arcidiacono. LaVine should see an increase in minutes along with usage. He has been playing very well as of late and should play well in this pace up spot vs the 24th ranked defense.
Also Consider:
Evan Fournier-Price is down , playing solid minutes and nice matchup.
Josh Hart- continues to play well. Double digit rebounds in 2 of the last 3 games.
SMALL FORWARDS
Tobias Harris
The Sixers have a tough matchup vs the Bucks tonight. They rank as one of the better defensive teams this year. Harris is the type of player that should be able to do some damage tonight. He takes between 4-8 , 3 point shots a game. This is where the Bucks lack on defense. Fast paced game as well which will open up more opportunities.
Also Consider:
Chandler Hutchinson- Bulls down a few players, so should play solid minutes. Excellent matchup.
POWER FORWARDS
LaMarcus Aldridge
Aldridge has been very inconsistent this year with a floor of around 15 with upside of around 60+. Tonight is a good night to target him with an excellent matchup and the fact that he plays well vs his former team(53 and 46 FPs last 2 games vs Blazers). Blazers rank 26th vs PF’s and opposing centers and he should see time at both positions.
Also consider:
Anthony Davis– the Rockets are with out a true big man tonight as they traded away Capela yesterday. This leaves them with PJ Tucker playing PF/C. Davis will feast tonight in this pace up matchup vs the Rockets smaller lineup.
CENTERS
Hassan Whiteside
Whiteside has been a beast when he gets around 30 minutes. He is coming off an underwhelming game, which may take some ownership off him. Like this matchup vs the Spurs tonight.
Also consider:
Luke Kornet- has been starting for Bulls. Gets an nice pace up spot and excellent matchup.
Nikola Vucevic- nice matchup and solid floor.
VALUE
*Michael Carter-Williams(PG), Rajon Rondo (PG)
*Kentavious Caldwell-Pope(SG)- cheap option that plays well in faster paced games vs poor defense.
Colby White(PG/SG)
*Trevor Ariza(SF), Gary Trent Jr(SF)
*Derrick Favors(PF/C), Bobby Portis(PF/C)
*Caleb Swanigan(C), Jakob Poeltl(C)
