The 7-0 San Francisco 49ers and their top defense travel to face the fast paced Arizona Cardinals in a sneaky good TNF Showdown game.
CORE SHOWDOWN TARGETS
SAN FRANCISCO 49ers
RB – Tevin Coleman
This has less to do with his big 4 TD game last week in a spot when The Ambush was all over him and more to do with the injury report and the matchup. The 49ers backfield is banged up with Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert both questionable but likely to play. All in all, with the question marks on the secondary backs for the 49ers we have to like the volume tonight for Coleman.
TE – George Kittle
Tight ends have torched the Cardinals and last week was no different as Josh Hill, Dan Arnold and Taysom Hill all were wide open most of the game for the Saints. Kittle has been excellent in his run blocking but should be able to be a viable target for the 49ers passing game tonight, making him a great Showdown Captain option.
Other Top SF Options: Jimmy Garoppolo, Emmanuel Sanders
Sneaky Value: Kendrick Bourne
ARIZONA CARDINALS
QB – Kyler Murray
It’s a tough matchup against the #1 pass defense statistically but Murray at home should play better than he has recently on the road. Look for the #1 pick to have a big game rushing tonight.
K – Zane Gonzalez
If the Cardinals struggle in the red zone (common lately) then Zane could have a huge game. I see lots of possessions possible tonight and Zane has four straight double digit scoring games. He’s a good target on the showdown.
Other Top ARI Options: Larry Fitzgerald, Zach Zenner, Cardinals DEF
FADE: Kenyan Drake … I know the volume argument should be made for Kenyan Drake as well but not against the 9ers defense.
PLAYER PROPS TO CONSIDER
Kyler Murray rushing yards OVER
George Kittle receptions OVER
Final score prediction: Cardinals pull the upset 26-23
