Fantasy Football: NFL Playoffs Sleepers

Check out these NFL Playoff Fantasy Football Sleepers brought to you by Triple Threat Expert Adam Ronis!

If you are in a playoff draft, the best strategy is to take a bold stance and draft players primarily from the teams you believe will reach the Super Bowl. Someone else might have the same opinion and take your picks and if that happens, pivot to another team. Spreading out players across several teams leaves a slim chance of winning. Here are some deep sleepers that you can get later in drafts if you like these teams to advance far. Get in a playffwc.com draft until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Playoff Fantasy Football Sleepers

RB Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots

If you believe the Patriots make the Super Bowl, taking Burkhead in the final round makes sense. He hasn’t been getting heavy volume, but he has been getting touches when he’s on the field. Since returning from injured reserve in Week 13, he has nine, five, seven, 17 and six touches. He has one touchdown and caught at least three passes in two of those games.

TE Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Rams

Tight end has been difficult all season and with 12 teams in the playoffs, it’s even worse. If the Rams play three games, Everett could help. The Rams have been using the tight end more late in the season. From Weeks 14-16, Everett had 20 targets and had 14 receptions in those games.

WR Taylor Gabriel, Chicago Bears

Some think the Bears are a darkhorse Super Bowl team because of their defense. If you decide to go that way in your draft and have the chance to get four games, Gabriel is a good target late. The Bears spread the ball around on offense and Gabriel has big-play ability. He was quiet down the stretch and hasn’t scored since Week 4, so his price will be low.

WR Ted Ginn, New Orleans Saints

The Saints are a popular team to play three games since they are the top seed in the NFC and difficult to beat at home. Ginn is a good target late and some might forget him since he’s been for so long. Drew Brees trusts Ginn and it was evident when he returned in Week 16 with five catches for 74 yards on eight targets after he missed 12 weeks. Ginn sat out in Week 17 and potentially two games at home on the turf and the Super Bowl is indoors in Atlanta.

WR Dontrelle Inman, Indianapolis Colts

The Colts enter the playoffs as one of the hottest teams, going 9-1 down the stretch and have been basically in a playoff game every week to get in. They have a difficult path, but if you’re in a draft and draft a few Colts, add Inman to the mix. Inman has become a bigger piece of the offense late in the season and has been targeted 11 times the last two weeks. He had four catches for 46 yards with a touchdown in Week 16 and five catches for 77 yards with a touchdown last week.

WR Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

A few weeks ago people loved the Chargers. After getting shut down by the Ravens two weeks ago and facing them again in the wild card round, people are off the Chargers. I am not. They still can make the Super Bowl. If you feel that way, Williams is a good target late. Williams has a low floor and does play less snaps than Tyrell Williams at times, but Mike Williams is a big threat in the red zone. He has five touchdowns in the last six games and had five catches for 65 yards with a touchdown last week.

Picks for the Wild Card Round

  • Colts +1.5
  • Cowboys -2
  • Chargers +2.5
  • Bears -6
