HIGHEST SCORING PITCHERS
- Aaron Nola — 64

- Jeremy Hellickson — 54 .. Flirted with a perfect game
- Luis Severino — 49 … Much higher priced than all the guys above him

- Dylan Bundy — (-21) … Ouch
- Ivan Nova — (-3) … Ouch

- Pedro Severino — 15.7
Yes…Β Those are all real scores…Β Yes, I have a theory behind it.Β Wanna hear it?Β OK, too bad, you’re this far in you might as well read into it.Β So my theory is that nobody takes more of a beating in the game of baseball than catchers (duh), and historically I have seen catchers do well on Monday’s and Tuesday’s when they’ve had a little extra rest either with Sunday off or Monday off usually and then they come through in their next game because they have more leg power from the rest….Β Β Yes, it’s a documented #DongersClub Manifesto Theory…Β Β Carry on now.
FIRST BASE
- Justin Bour — 28.2
- Josh Bell – 24.9
- Chris Davis — 18.7
- Carlos Santana — 18.7
- Paul Goldschmidt — 18.4
SECOND BASE
- Scooter Gennett — 22.2
- Eduardo Nunez — 21.4
- Ryan Goins — 16.2 … When you score 10 runs in the first inning even Ryan Goins is going to get in on the act
- Robinson Cano — 15.7
- Jonathan Schoooop — 13.2
THIRD BASE
- Mike Moustakas — 50.9 … Hit one onto Eutaw St.
- Eugenio Suarez — 32.4 … On fire.
- Danny Valencia — 28.2
- Jeimer Candelario — 27.7
- Yolmer Sanchez — 24.9
Lots of production from 3B last night but the majority of it was low owned.Β Kris Bryant and Nolan Arenado both had just average games.Β Β Adrian Beltre was only 2k on FD (because they’re lazy) and put up a 16.Β Alex Bregman (not noted) had a solo HR for Houston, he is heating up.
SHORTSTOP
- Jose Iglesias — 31.4
- Trevor Story — 28.2
- Francisco Lindor — 24.7
- Marcus Semien — 21.4
- Jurickson Profar — 18.7
If you had the guts to roll Iglesias I feel sorry for you that the next two guys who were heavily owned came through.
OUTFIELD
- Giancarlo Stanton — 46.4 … 2 HR
- Alex Gordon — 37.9 … Rakes in Camden
- Jorge Soler — 37.9 … Could he actually be good?Β Β My column:
- Corey Dickerson — 25.2
- AJ Pollock … 25.2 … He is on fire this year
- Justin Upton — 25.2
- Aaron Altherr — 21.7 … #DongersClub
- Starling Marte — 21.7
- Dee Gordon — 21.2 … Dee Gordon puts up a 20 every day and nobody notices or cares.
OBSERVATIONS
- It’s tough sometimes to just fade coors, but you should really start your analysis and lineup construction that way.Β Then when you have a position that feels week you can jump over to Coors.Β I had Arenado, Story and Upton as my main guys in Coors last night.Β Two of them came through and while my non Arenado lineups were Moustakas and I wish they all were Moose, it didn’t ultimately kill me too much having Nolan there.Β Go Coors Light in my mind when you feel it’s a good game.
- Arizona owns LA
- Batters vs Ballparks MATTER!Β Β Β Alex Gordon’s stats in Camden Yards as noted on the broadcast are insane.Β Paul Goldschmidt doesn’t take 0’s in LA…..
- The Phillies continue to hit at home and not on the road.Β They’re young and they play better at home.
- The Royals are not the bottom feeder lineup when healthy.Β They just need a tiny ballpark.
