GREEN LIGHT
Dylan Bundy (Orioles) vs. KC, vs. TB
Bundy was excellent in his first five starts but has allowed 12 earned runs, including five home runs over his last nine innings. Bundy’s numbers show he’s pitching well and he has two good matchups.
Luis Castillo (Reds) vs. NYM, @LAD
Castillo has struggled but was better in his last start despite allowing nine hits in six innings. He allowed two runs, walked one and struck out seven.
Michael Fulmer (Tigers) @TEX, vs. SEA
Fulmer won’t get a lot of strikeouts, but he keeps the walks down, limits home runs and fly balls and doesn’t allow a lot of hard contact. He has a 2.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and a 27:9 K:BB ratio in 35.1 innings.
Jarlin Garcia (Marlins) @CHC, vs. ATL
Garcia isn’t as good as the surface numbers show. He has a 1.09 ERA and 0.85 WHIP despite an 18.6 percent strikeout rate, 10.5 percent walk rate, and a 36.4 percent hard-hit rate. These are two difficult matchups.
Jon Gray (Rockies) vs. LAA, vs. MIL
Gray has had some poor luck. He has a 24.4 percent strikeout rate, six percent walk rate and a 65.2 percent strand rate. Gray had a better ERA at home last year, and if you can’t start him with two home starts, you shouldn’t own him.
Sean Newcomb (Braves) @TB, @MIA
The walk rate is still too high, but he’s improving. He has increased the strikeout rate to 29 percent. He has a 3.38 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 28.4 percent hard-hit rate and an 11.5 percent swinging strike rate. After throwing first-pitch strikes 58.6 percent of the time last season, Newcomb is at 64.8 percent this season. Newcomb can be even better if he can trim the 10.3 percent walk rate.
Tyson Ross (Padres) vs. WAS, vs. STL
Ross is 2-2 with a 3.28 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 27 percent strikeout rate, 8.8 percent walk rate and has the slider working.
Jeff Samardzija (Giants) @PHI, @PIT
Samardzija hasn’t pitched more than five innings in his three starts. He went five innings and allowed five hits, two runs, three walks and struck out five against the Padres.
Marcus Stroman (Blue Jays) vs. SEA, vs. BOS
Stroman is coming off his best start of the season. He went seven innings and allowed six hits, two runs, one walk and struck out five. It was his first quality start of the season.

RED LIGHT
Brett Anderson (A’s) vs. HOU, @NYY
Homer Bailey (Reds) vs., NYM, @LAD
Bailey isn’t close to what he used to be. He has a 4.81 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 13.1 percent strikeout rate, 7.1 percent walk rate and a 42.1 percent hard-hit rate.
Danny Duffy (Royals) @BAL, @CLE
He is 0-4 with a 5.63 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 19.9 percent strikeout rate and 8.8 percent walk rate. He has a 41 percent hard-hit rate.
Zach Eflin (Phillies) vs. SF, vs. NYM
Doug Fister (Rangers) vs. DET, @HOU
Lucas Giolito (White Sox) vs. PIT, @CHC
Jeremy Hellickson (Nationals) @SD, @ARI
Hellickson has a 3.00 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in four starts with a 16.1 percent strikeout rate, 4.9 percent walk rate. He has yet to pitch six innings in a start, but can be considered in deeper leagues.
Derek Holland (Giants) @PHI, @PIT
Wade Miley (Brewers) vs. CLE, @COL
Matt Moore (Rangers) vs. DET, @HOU
Drew Pomeranz (Red Sox) @NYY, @TOR
Pomeranz was better in his last start, the third of the season. He’s still not pitching like he did last year after starting on the DL and the Yankees matchup is a concern. Can consider in deeper formats.
Clayton Richard (Padres) vs. WAS, vs. STL
Fernando Romero (Twins) @STL, @LAA
