2018 Fantasy Football: 5 ADP Risers

Adam Ronis examines five players with a rising Average Draft Position in 2018 Fantasy Football drafts! Snipe these players before your league-mates!

Andrew Luck

There has only been one preseason game and already players are moving up draft boards based on health, injuries and training camp performances. Here are five players rising up draft boards and the reasons.

QB Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

The biggest concern for luck is health. Luck is participating in training camp and throwing with no problem. The shoulder will still be a concern until he plays in games and shows he can take a hit. All reports have been positive and Luck is creeping up draft boards. He has an ADP of 110 in the FFWC and will rise more if he does well in the preseason. Luck is going in the 10th round and can return Top 5 QB value if healthy. I am willing to take Luck at his current price and pair him with a safe quarterback like Matthew Stafford and Philip Rivers.

WR Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears

Miller is a prime example of why drafting early can help land big value. In June, I drafted Miller in the 18th round. Those days are gone. Miller has been the talk of Bears training camp. The Bears traded into the second round to draft Miller and he didn’t play in the Hall of Fame Game, a sign they have plans for him to be a key part of the offense. He has speed, can stretch the field, and can catch the ball in traffic. There are several targets in the offense for Mitchell Trubisky with Allen Robinson, Trey Burton and Tarik Cohen, but Miller will be a key part of the offense. Miller has an ADP of 120 in the FFWC and I will buy at that price.

RB Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots

Rookie Sony Michel wasn’t having a good training camp and had a procedure to drain fluid from his knee and is expected to be sidelined for at least ten days. He’s expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, but missing most of the preseason if not all puts Michel, a first-round pick, behind. Burkhead will take on a bigger role early in the season. He’s adept at catching the football and will be the goal-line back. Burkhead has an ADP of 79 in the FFWC and recently went 56 after the Michel news. Michel has an ADP of 47 and went 89 after the injury news.

WR Marquise Goodwin, San Francisco 49ers

Goodwin is drawing rave reviews for his performance in training camp. Many are saying he will be the top target in the offense over Pierre Garcon. In the final five games with Jimmy Garoppolo, he had 29 catches for 384 yards with a touchdown. He had the full off-season and training camp to develop more chemistry with Garoppolo. Goodwin has a FFWC ADP of 90 and gone as high as 61, 76 and 78 in recent drafts.

RB Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks

Carson is moving up based on reports he’s running with the first team and looked real good. He has a FFWC ADP of 123, but has gone as early as 82, 108 and 109 in recent drafts. This is good news for those that are on Rashaad Penny because he will start to fall. I think Penny will be the running back to own in Seattle. It’s rare to take a running back in the first round and not play him significantly unless he flops.
