PGA DFS: Dell Tehnologies

Round 2 of the FedEx Cup playoffs and the last event with a Friday (or in this case Saturday) cut!

This event is one in which, I think, we probably need to avoid anyone below $7000 if you’re focusing on cash games.  But, if you are a GPP player, as we saw last week, even the guys at the bottom of the pricing can put in a good performance…..or an incredibly bad one.  Both, I believe, are because they have to “make a move” to extend their seasons to next week.  On the flip side, you have guys like Justin Rose and John Rahm who are high priced and absolutely “crap the bed” for really no reason other than they know that, no matter how bad they play, they are playing next week.

Now, two weeks in a row of that and you are probably really hurting your chance at East Lake so I predict both of those guys will show up this week with a chip on their shoulders and play well.

Since this pool is full of who has played the best, I think we’ll do what we did last week and pinpoint players within a price range.  First and foremost, this is a TPC course and allows for both styles.  The TPC Boston gives the ballstrikers an opportunity to produce but doesn’t limit the “Bomber” since we aren’t looking narrow, tree-lined course that makes accuracy off the tee a vital element.

So, let’s get to it:

$11600 to $9000:

DJ, JT, Koepka (my favorite here), McIlroy, Day, Rose Rahm & Cantlay.  Tiger is an option, but I think he may be wearing down.  Spieth – gotta like his ability, but right now, I can’t trust his game.

$8900 to $8000:

TIER 1 – Matsuyama, Fleetwood, Finau, Stenson, Reed (all are priced cheaply in my opinion).  TIER 2 – DeChambeau (only because he won last week and back-to-back is tough), Simpson, Mickelson, Leishman.

Under $8000:

Tyrell Hatton (my favorite), Gary Woodland, Ian Poulter (you know I love Poulter), Kevin Na, Cabrera-Bello and Grillo.

Longshot/Low Price:

Daniel Berger, Stewart Cink, Cameron Smith, Aaron Wise (the last two because of how they played last week), Ryan Moore, Pat Perez, Keegan Bradley (as long as you aren’t depending on him for Sunday), Kevin Tway and possibly CT Pan.  These guys are all in the $7K range and lower and if you want more than one or two “big dogs”, your going to have to play in this yard too!

Good Luck!  Let’s go out with a bang these last three weeks!
