NBA DFS Quick Hits 10.24

Looking at a three game slate for the 3rd day in the NBA season. On a small slate this will be a quick hits article instead due to the limited options. This article will go over two approaches for tonight: One, a stars and scrubs approach, which I can see be the popular way due to the soft prices to start the season. Two, a more balances approach.

This sheet shows the total for each game along with the spread, pace for each time and the DvP for the OPP. DvP and Pace are from last years stats due to the limited games played this year.

** Markieff Morris is listed as questionable. Keep an eye on his status as this could open up more options.

Stars and Scrubs

Stars: Steph Curry, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and Andre Drummond are the four I have most interest in tonight on DK due to pricing and usage they should see. The other two options are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Russell Westbrook who are both viable tonight (Westbrook is severely under-priced and could be subsisted for one of the four I listed above. Giannis is in a good spot as well, but I like the price and spots for the others tonight.

Start of lineup: Harden, Curry, Drummond & Leonard (Substitute Westbrook for Leonard if you wish: opens up $200). This leaves a total of $3,375 per player.

*Curry picks up a big boost in usage with Cousins and or Durant and Thompson off the floor. Right around 40%(Kept Thompson or Durant to factor in what Russell would use up). Harden still put up over 30 points per game in the preseason with Westbrook playing. He may take a small hit on rebound and or assists but should easily hit his value tonight. Drummond put your a 20/20 game last night without Griffin in he floor. Tonight he gets another excellent matchup against a faced paced team.

Scrubs: As stated earlier the prices are soft at the beginning of the season and a good time to take advantage of them. Scrubs are listed under 4K on DK.

Wesley Matthews: Starting for the Bucks and should see solid minutes. Matthews is not a flashy player, but will get some open looks tonight along with a few rebounds, steals and assists) (3.5K)

Jabari Parker: Parker is now with the Hawks and should see between 15-20 minutes tonight.  Posting a 1.1 FPPM last season and if he gets hot could have a 20+ FP night.  (3.8K)

Ivica Zubac: Put up 41.8 FPS in 17 minutes in the playoffs last year vs the Warriors. Solid 1.2 FPPM player at only (3.5K)

Marquese Chriss & Glenn Robinson III: These two players are now on the Warriors and both played well in the preseason. Robinson is listed as a starter and we should see Chriss on the floor tonight for 12-15 minutes. Robinson would have the safer floor, but Chriss possesses a much higher upside.

DeAndre’ Bembry: Played very well for the Hawks at the end of last season. Should see 25+ minutes tonight and could easily return value at (3.2K)

George Hill: Bledsoe is a bit beat up, but will be starting tonight. Should see Hill play some backup PG for around 15-20 minutes. (3.3k)

Balanced Approach

The Balanced approach would be to take 1-2 of the stars listed above and pick a few more mid tier players like: DeAngelo Russell, Trae Young, John Collins, Lou Williams or Montrezl Harrell. Utilize the scrubs to fill in any open spots.
