Fantasy Football: Saquon Barkley is a first round pick – Book it!

Senior Fantasy Experts Dr. Roto & Adam Ronis believe Saquon Barkley is a surefire first round pick for Fantasy owners, even before knowing where he will play in 2018!

Dr. Roto & Adam Ronis teamed up to discuss the plausibility of drafting Saquon Barkley in the first round of a Fantasy draft. Even without knowing his destination, both experts agreed he should be a late-first rounder given his tremendous upside as a pass-catcher. In PPR formats, he should have no trouble at all producing at a high level. The Fantasy Rainman Shawn Childs agrees with their assessment. Below you’ll find a recent write-up where he mocked the first round of a Fantasy draft. He forecasted Barkley as the No. 12 pick. Opportunity is ultimately the driving force behind Barkley’s value. If he’s selected by the Giants at No. 2 overall, that would be a fantastic opportunity for lots of touches. But speaking of pure, raw talent, he’s one of the best backs to come out of the draft in recent years, if not THE best. Continue reading below to find out why Shawn is taking him at #12!

From Shawn Childs’ first round Fantasy mock:

Pick #12 overall: RB Saquon Barkley, Team TBD

Without knowing where Barley will land, it is tough to predict his 2018 Fantasy draft value. Over his last two seasons at Penn State, Saquon had 3,801 combined yards with 43 TDs and 82 catches. He projects as a three-down back with high value in scoring ability. In the right offense, Barkley may push his way to a top ten Fantasy pick this season.
