2019 Fantasy Football: Week 4 Preseason Recap

Minnesota Vikings @ Buffalo Bills

Vikings

We saw De’Angelo Henderson and Ameer Abdullah make their case for a roster spot in this one. Henderson rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries adding an eight-yard reception. Abdullah was a bit more efficient carrying the ball five times for 21 yards and catching a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Bills

Backup quarterback Tyree Jackson was the star of the show for Buffalo. He completed 22 of 33 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown and rushed for an additional 78 yards and a TD. Tight end Jason Croom also got out on the field, which means he will likely be the team’s Week 1 starter at TE.… Continue reading ...

2019 Fantasy Football: Week 3 Preseason Recap (Sat / Sun)

Arizona Cardinals @ Minnesota Vikings

Cardinals

Rookie Kyler Murray bounced back in this one. He wasn’t great, but he also wasn’t a disaster. Murray completed 14 of 21 passes for 137 yards. We still haven’t seen much of the air raid attack nor have we seen Murray taking off on the ground. Another rookie, Keesean Johnson, has continued to shine through the air. He grabbed all seven of his targets for 85 yards.

Vikings

We aren’t focusing on sure-fire starters in this article, but it’s worth noting Dalvin Cook gashed the Cards for 88 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Mike Boone also continued to look good on the ground carrying the ball ten times for 41 yards and a TD.… Continue reading ...

2019 Fantasy Football: Week 3 Preseason Recap (Thur / Fri)

New York Giants @ Cincinnati Bengals

Giants

Like all preseason the focus was on first-round pick Daniel Jones. The rookie did not disappoint. He impressed going 9 of 11 for 141 yards. While preseason isn’t always an indicator of the regular season as we’ve seen in the past with guys like Nate Peterman, it’s hard to ignore what Jones has done. He’s making a strong case for Eli Manning’s job.

Bengals

Ryan Finley was efficient again completing 14 of 20 passes for 155 yards, however, he’s not who I want to focus on. Rookie change-of-pace back Damion Willis made some noise as a pass-catcher. He was targeted a team-high six times and grabbed three of those passes for 55 yards.Continue reading ...

2019 Fantasy Football: Week 2 Preseason Notes (Sat-Mon)

Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Eagles

There were two players we wanted to see in this one that were showcased by Philly. There were running back Miles Sanders and wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Sanders carried the ball five times for 31 yards to average a team-high 6.2 yards per carry outperforming Jordan Howard who totaled just 15 yards on four carries and failed to bring in his only target. Arcega-Whiteside saw a team-high seven targets but only managed to catch two of them for 20 yards.

Jaguars

The Jags really didn’t play anybody worth mentioning in this one. It was backup quarterbacks throwing to backup wide receivers and they only rushed for 59 total yards.… Continue reading ...

Jordan Howard leading the way for the backs in Philly

NEWS: Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard has been “dominating” carries at Eagles camp according to Eliot Shorr-Parks on Twitter. All signs to this point would lead you to believe Howard will be the top guy in the Philly backfield heading into the 2019 season.

ANALYSIS: The Eagles have the most volatile backfield in NFL from year-to-year topped only by the New England Patriots. Rookie Miles Sanders has been a Fantasy darling this summer, but Howard looks like the starter and most around the team believe that’s going to change prior to the season starting.… Continue reading ...

AJ Green expected to miss Week 1

NEWS: Cincinnati Bengals wideout AJ Green is looking at a 6-8 week recovery time from an ankle injury suffered in practice this week. An MRI showed torn ligaments in the left ankle. The perennial Pro Bowler is doubtful at best for Week 1 and could miss up to the first three games of the season. He has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons and isn’t starting out this season on the right foot.

ANALYSIS: There is no silver lining in this news for the Bengals offense.… Continue reading ...

2019 NFL Draft: 5 Rookie Tight Ends You Need To Know

2019 Rookies You Need To Know
Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends

Noah Fant, Iowa

  • Height: 6’4:
  • Weight: 249 lbs
  • 40 time: 4.5
  • Projected Round: 1st
  • Compares to: Eric Ebron
  • Potential Landing Spots: DET, GB, OAK
  • Projected Dynasty Pick: 1.12

Analysis: You can make the case that Fant is the most dangerous pure receiving tight end in this draft. However, he’s not nearly as well-rounded as fellow Hawkeye T.J. Hockenson. While athletic and dangerous up the seam his lack of versatility will likely limit his snaps as a rookie. All the upside is there but we have seen players like this hold huge bust potential or at the very least take a few years to make their mark.… Continue reading ...

2019 NFL Mock Draft (Morales-Smith) – 3 QBs in the Top 7!?

1. ARIQB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

Kliff Kingsbury’s desire to reunite with Murray is either the worst kept secret in the NFL or a genius ploy to increase the value of this pick. Murray will be picked first. Probably by the Cards.

2. SFDE Nick Bosa, Ohio St

Bosa was the consensus top player in this draft heading into the season. His talent and the success of his brother Joey with the Chargers is enough for him to hold his spot as the top non-QB drafted.

3. NYJDE Josh Allen, Kentucky

After making an off-season splash with Leveon Bell and drafting their franchise QB last year, the Jets will undoubtedly address the other side of the ball in this defense heavy draft.… Continue reading ...
