The Bowl games are finally getting better and we have three today that should not disappoint.
BOWL GAMES
Purdue vs Auburn:
One more time for the Blough–Moore train? You betcha. Neither defense is very solid and we should see both teams putting up points in the Music City Bowl despite some light rain showers projected for part of the game. Moore has been a star all season long and is involved in the offense so much that there’s no reason to expect him to get shutout today. I am back on the DJ Knox train this week for the Boiler Makers in the ground game against a defense that yielded over 160 yards per game on the ground and if you want to go 2x RB from Purdue I don’t mind it on this slate with Markell Jones. For Auburn, Jarrett Stidham hasn’t been really good this year should see a softer defense than most he faced today against Purdue’s pass D which is the worst on the slate.  The play from Auburn is JaTarvious Whitlow.
West Virginia vs Syracuse:
This is the top game on the slate with a total around 66 and two premier offenses going up against each other. But it’s really a lopsided game for DFS in my mind. Will Grier and Gary Jennings will be OUT for the Mountaineers and that really creates a lot of confusion as to what they’re going to do offensively. Add in that the OC is gone and they’re really preparing for 2019 in this game, plus some offensive line shuffling and you have a less than stable situation today. David Sills becomes an elite play though with Jennings out and I would expect the Mountaineers to lean on McKoy in the ground game as well. Look for a little sneaky value at QB in super flex with Freshman Trey Lowe who is a super hyped dual threat QB that is expected to get decent amount of action today. His 7k price isn’t super ideal for a value play but I could easily see him coming in and lighting it up as a nice GPP play. For Syracuse, everything begins and ends with star QB Eric Dungey. The senior has one job today. Don’t get hurt. He should be the highest owned player on the slate, and we’re talking close to 80% in most constests.
Iowa State vs Washington State
The least exciting game of the day has a pretty sneaky late night hammer in it. Gardner Minshew is a stat ***** and should be able to throw it as much as he wants in his final game. The Alamo Bowl is a good spot for offense as well so we shouldn’t have any issues with the offenses playing well, but then again a game in Chase Field finished 10-7 the other night so who knows. After a strong season defending the run the Cougars were gashed by Myles Gaskin in the Apple Cup season finale for 258 yards, well above the averages that the Cougars gave up all season and they have to face David Montgomery and the Iowa State running game. I am leaning fade here, but this is part of the late night hammer stack if you want to ride this game with Minshew and his passing game on the other side.
