QB Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

There aren’t many deep sleepers at quarterback since Ryan Fitzpatrick no longer fits the category. Tannehill hasn’t had to throw much with the Dolphins playing from ahead, but he’s completed 72.5 percent of his passes with at least two touchdowns in each game. He rushed for 44 yards on eight carries last week. The Raiders are a favorable matchup despite not allowing a touchdown pass last week to Case Keenum, although one was called back due to a penalty and another Courtland Sutton just came down out of bounds. The Raiders have two sacks and have generated little pressure on quarterbacks.

RB Frank Gore, Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins offensive line has done a good job run-blocking and gets a Raiders run defense that allowed 113 rushing yards to Rams running backs in Week 1 and 152 yards rushing to the Broncos last week. Gore had nine carries for 61 yards in Week 1 against the Titans and had a tougher time against a good Jets defense, rushing nine times for 25 yards and catching a 19-yard pass. With several running backs out this week, many teams will be digging deep if Corey Clement and Latavius Murray weren’t available.

RB Ito Smith, Atlanta Falcons

I added Smith in a few deep leagues in case Devonta Freeman misses more time than expected. The Falcons tend to use two running backs and Smith was impressive on his touches last week. He had nine carries for 46 yards and an eight-yard catch against the Panthers. The game against the Saints will be high-scoring, and Smith could reach double-digit touches again.

WR Donte Moncrief, Jacksonville Jaguars

If I gave you three guesses on who leads the Jaguars in targets through two games, you’d likely fail to get it. Moncrief leads the team with 14, while T.J. Yeldon and Keelan Cole are second with 12. Moncrief hasn’t done much with them, catching five passes for 48 yards with a touchdown. Moncrief will likely see a lot of Malcolm Butler, who has allowed 257 yards and three touchdowns.

WR James Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers defense has been carved up, and the Steelers are frequently passing, attempting 101 passes through two games. That will likely continue in Week 3 against the Buccaneers. After playing 11 snaps in Week 1, Washington played 66 snaps last week against the Chiefs. While he only caught one of his five targets, it went for a 14-yard touchdown. The Buccaneers secondary is thin and allowed 36 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns to wide receivers.

TE Will Dissly, Seattle Seahawks

Dissly surprised many by catching three passes for 105 yards with a touchdown on five targets in Week 1 playing 58 percent of the snaps. He was quiet until scoring in the final minute against the Bears last week. He had three catches for 42 yards with a touchdown on five targets, including a deep pass that didn’t connect. He played 71 percent of the snaps in Week 2. The Cowboys have played well defensively, but against tight ends they allowed all 13 passes to be completed for 109 yards and a touchdown.
