If he struggles in protection, Zach Charbonnet and the rest of the backfield could turn this into more of a committee than his ADP suggests.

Zach Charbonnet remains a key factor because he projects for 85 carries, 341 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 20 catches, 137 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. That profile places him firmly in the overall WR1 conversation and makes him the last of the “big three” receivers in Round 1 after Ja’Marr Chase and Puka Nacua.

The case for Smith-Njigba is simple: target dominance, elite efficiency and touchdown growth. Seattle’s team wide receiver projection includes 210 catches, 2,833 yards and 19 touchdowns. Smith-Njigba accounts for the largest share of that production by a wide margin. If he hits this projection, he is not merely a safe first-round pick — he is a legitimate league-winning anchor.

Cooper Kupp projects as the second receiver with 42 catches, 464 yards and four touchdowns. He is no longer being valued like a fantasy cornerstone, but he still gives Seattle an experienced chain-mover who can matter in the red zone. Rashid Shaheed adds splash-play potential with 501 projected yards and three receiving touchdowns, while Tory Horton and Jake Bobo round out the depth chart.

Jadarian Price is the swing pick. The projection supports his RB26 price, but the risk profile is different than the upside profile. Rookie running backs have to earn trust, and pass protection is often the difference between a talented player getting 12 touches and a fantasy starter getting 18-plus. At the right draft window, Price is a strong upside pick. Pushed too high, he becomes one of the more important risk-reward calls in the middle rounds.

The best draft approach is to aggressively target Smith-Njigba, take Price only when the room gives you a fair price, and use Barner as a late tight end upside play. Kupp and Shaheed are more format-dependent depth options than core draft targets.
