Week 14. The most pivotal week of the year. Millions of fantasy football playoff spots were clinched. And sadly, many seasons ended after an unpredictable Sunday slate. The FullTime Fantasy Football Recap Week 14 looks back on the final regular-season week of the season.
This Fantasy Football Recap Week 14 will be our final look back at the 2022 season that was. From now on, we look forward with our eye on the prize.
Also, as a friendly reminder, there are three NFL games this Saturday, so plan accordingly.
DNR
Did you leave Evan Engram on your bench to start Tyler Higbee? I hope you didn’t sign a DNR at the hospital. It’s hard not to overthink things with a potential playoff spot on the line.
However, the pain from losing that spot can linger. Not just all offseason, but for years. Trust me- I know that all too well. I still get trash-talking texts from my buddy about Natrone Means.
But the DNR that impacted us the most in Week 14 was the dreaded “Did Not Return” designation.
In particular at the quarterback position. We had all kinds of QBs injured when we needed them to punch our fantasy postseason ticket.
Tyler Huntley, already subbing in for the injured Lamar Jackson got hurt early and DNR.
Kenny Pickett also DNR with a potential concussion.
Then, there are the signal-callers that fan bases wish Do Not Return. Maybe ever again. Looking at you, Derek Carr.
Not to mention, this all took place in the same week that Baker Mayfield went from cast off in Carolina to hero in Los Angeles.
There is just no way you could ever have predicted this week to play out the way it did. But, that’s what keeps us coming back for more, even if we wished it could all end via DNR.
